Justin Bieber et al have taught me if you're not a preteen but you insist on listening to music targeted at preteens, you're pretty much asking for it.
Why do we hate her? She didn't write the lyrics, and her voice is autotuned...

Most people don't hate her, they hate the song (including me) Does she actually think she's a star now? Damn, I'm kinda happy for her because the hate is harsh, but WTF, how desillusioned can you be?
So her music is still terrible, but I actually like her after that interview. She's taking it in stride, she's humble and it seems like she can laugh at herself too.

That's included (I guess it was just a birthday gift or something), but it turns out she actually has a decent voice. I think it'd actually have been better if they hadn't autotuned her.

they aren't. they get notoriety because of the controversy between the majority who think it's terrible and a few who think it's good. the media picks this up as if it's an interesting story and re-transmits the argument exponentially.
