Crisis in Japan - Page 82
Forum Index > General Forum |
Thread is about the various issues surrounding Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake. Don't bring the shit side of the internet to the thread, and post with the realization that this thread is very important, and very real, to your fellow members. Do not post speculative and unconfirmed news you saw on TV or anywhere else. Generally the more dramatic it sounds the less likely it's true.

This is Minamisanriku, a port town of about 17,000 with 10,000 currently unaccounted for. Really tragic There's a number of before/after images from along the coast in this video, including Minamisanriku first

The good news (for me) is I was finally able to contact the few friends and family members there and they are all okay! And don't worry about the American bashing guys, it comes with the territory of being the most powerful country in the world. When there is a crisis, they will all turn to America because they know they are the only country that has the strength/willingness to help. Noone is going to turn to China or Chile and expect anything other then vocal and ceremonial support.

The Minamisanriku video footage is just disheartening. I hope the casualty numbers don't rise to the level some media are already speculating about (10.000+).
