Crisis in Japan - Page 7
Forum Index > General Forum |
Thread is about the various issues surrounding Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake. Don't bring the shit side of the internet to the thread, and post with the realization that this thread is very important, and very real, to your fellow members. Do not post speculative and unconfirmed news you saw on TV or anywhere else. Generally the more dramatic it sounds the less likely it's true.

Also, it's times like this that make me love the internet, immediate access to tonnes of news, discussion and media. A few important links that the OP should be updated with: http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/03/11/japan.quake/index.html http://www.jma.go.jp/en/quake/ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/8375276/Tsunami-hits-Japan-after-8.8-magnitude-earthquake.html http://sophiato.tumblr.com/post/3780792549/japan-quake-m8-8 http://www.justin.tv/radiomando1#/w/936931456/59

I hope as many people make it out of this safely as is possible. The water is moving faster than the cars, at least 40 mph sweeping in. The videos are devastating homes and buildings are being swept away like matchsticks.

An 8.9 earthquake doesn't even really compare to the one Haiti had. It's roughly 1000 times more powerful. There was basically a 100 percent chance of a tsunami. Hang in there, guys ![]()
