Crisis in Japan - Page 54
Forum Index > General Forum |
Thread is about the various issues surrounding Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake. Don't bring the shit side of the internet to the thread, and post with the realization that this thread is very important, and very real, to your fellow members. Do not post speculative and unconfirmed news you saw on TV or anywhere else. Generally the more dramatic it sounds the less likely it's true.

I hope the casualties are minimal and strength to everyone who has lost a relative in the earthquake.. I hope, and believe you can recover from that. Life can be quite harsh sometimes, but with faith and a strong will to live, you can overcome everything.

A good example is the 2004 tsunami where 220 000+ lives were lost, and the tsunami was weaker than this one. Really shows the quality of Japanese engineering. Yes, all things considered it's quite an accomplishment by engineers and civil planners that a disaster of such magnitude could hit so close to a highly populated area, and yet the vast majority of people will survive. Best wishes to anybody in that area.
