Crisis in Japan - Page 34
Forum Index > General Forum |
Thread is about the various issues surrounding Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake. Don't bring the shit side of the internet to the thread, and post with the realization that this thread is very important, and very real, to your fellow members. Do not post speculative and unconfirmed news you saw on TV or anywhere else. Generally the more dramatic it sounds the less likely it's true.

Tragic, Nothing else to say really A 77k population town was literally blown off the map. If the death toll doesn't reach the 10 thousands... I'll consider it a miracle. This is horrific. This honestly makes me want to cry. How tragic.

The fire in the oil refinery is still out of control, as far as I know. Edit: On the other hand, there is now apparently a 2km evacuation warning issued for the region around the nuclear reactor that issued the cooling emergency. If you are truly as interested in delving deeper into earthquake prediction as I am, and thus prevention of loss of life, and aren't afraid to interest yourself in a bit of "out of the box" science I must impart to all one of my favorite researchers on the subject, whom I have followed for the better part of a year. This is no joke, this guy is on to something and has accurately predicted a couple of specific earthquakes several days in advance, and correctly warned of numerous others (albeit unable to pinpoint their exact location). http://www.youtube.com/user/astrotometry#p/u/0/0Wpfp_fM3UI WOW! it's the first time i heard about this, hope these guys manage to learn how to predict exacly where and when the earthquakes happen! he posted a prediction for the 4 of march but it happend only 11 march.. to bad ![]() It's very sad to see this!

BBC's coverage of the disaster, my thoughts go out to the people in Japan. For a country which prides itself with disaster relief, I can only hope Japan can minimize the damage and have effective relief and rescue operations.
