Crisis in Japan - Page 16
Forum Index > General Forum |
Thread is about the various issues surrounding Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake. Don't bring the shit side of the internet to the thread, and post with the realization that this thread is very important, and very real, to your fellow members. Do not post speculative and unconfirmed news you saw on TV or anywhere else. Generally the more dramatic it sounds the less likely it's true.

They'll be almost certainly aftershocks. Aftershocks can often reach up to 1 point less on the scale than the original quake, so Japan can probably expected to be hit with shocks of up to 8 or so in the coming days and months.

They were speculating it could be just as powerful but most likely it won't be given how huge this quake with. It was definitely on the Al Jazeera live stream.

Also would like a source as I I am wondering if you mean Sea Shepherd as Paul Watson is an atheist and I follow Sea Shepherd on twitter and have seen no such Tweet(s). From Sea Shepherd Tweet: Our thoughts are with the Cove Guardians and the people of Japan. #thecove #japan

There is no reasonable way to predict the actual magnitude that I know of, so they want to keep the people on their guard. The latest aftershocks are reported to be up to a 7.0 magnitude.
