Poor average humans. They're the laughing stock of society :D BTW, 1 mile is like 1,6 kms, right ? Coz when I ran at high school, I used to do 5 kms in 22:35 minutes. Even with that pace, a mile would be something like just under 8 minutes. And I wasn't even close to the faster guys back then. | ||

Also for those getting the 12:00 mile thing; its a typo, the page from the magazine says 12, but the article clearly says its 12:45 for the mile and a half and 8:34 for the one mile. And they're blatantly lying, in the picture "12:17 is the average time to run a mile", on the site "Time it takes the average guy to run a mile: 8 minutes, 34 seconds" Lying? More likely a typo. Moody - You're 6'3", no way your going to be anywhere near the average weight, you are 6 inches taller than the average person which obviously makes you weight significantly more. As someone else said looking at you body fat gives you a much better idea of how you stack up. | ||

I could do 10-15 when I was doing sports, but I probably could barely do 5 now... and I still work out 3-4x a week. | ||

I did twice as much pull up than what I do now when I was a kid and scrawny (30 then 10-15 now). And that's typical. Kids will find it easier to do. So it varies depending on individual. | ||

If your seriously 5.5 you should be able to bust out pullups better then most people. Think about it: Shorter arms=less distance to pull yourself up.
