Butler, based in Soquel, California, recently spoke with the Santa Cruz Sentinel and said that though he's never used marijuana, his product is legal and ethical. Butler says he is a "firm believer that adults have an inalienable right to think, eat, smoke, drink, ingest, decorate, dress any way they choose."
Butler added that his new soda line will include the "flagship cola drink Canna Cola, the Dr Pepper-like Doc Weed, the lemon-lime Sour Diesel, the grape-flavored Grape Ape and the orange-flavored Orange Kush."
Each twelve-ounce bottle will sell for around $10 and will include 35 to 65 milligrams of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the main active ingredient in pot. Butler is hoping to distribute the drink in California as well, saying that his product offers a fresh take on a sleepy product.
"You look at all the marijuana products out there, and they are so mom-and-pop, hippie-dippy and rinky-dink," he said.
by RTT Staff Writer I always considred weed as a ''terrible'' thing, but maybe these type of products show us how we can manipulate certain drugs to make them unusual and atracttive stuff. Well first of all, he wasn't the one who specifically said anything about what century it was. If I had to guess I'd say that the original comment was more about disparaging people for being stuck in the past or something, but I'm not too interested in that.
As for the rest of your post, I don't really know what you're expecting me to say. Any time that somebody is obsessed with something to the point of displaying it outwardly, they're going to look strange to others. What's so controversial about that? What if you saw a grown man walking around downtown wearing Super Mario sweatpants and a Super Mario baseball cap?

how would that be disturbing? how does something as trivial as someone's clothing disturb you? that would just be funny and cool if anything. someone who is ballsy enough to go against social norms to express himself is a lot cooler than the socially inhibited who are too afraid of being judged because of people like you

Would probably have the same effects as if you ate a random leaf off a tree- would do nothing. THC needs to be dissolved in a lipid for a body to properly digest it and feel the effects.

Errrr better for your lungs? No smell? You could actually drink that in public if you put it in a different container. Any # of good reasons. That and the high from ingesting THC is different than if you smoked it.

If you want to make a comparison to alcohol though, I suppose you could change it to a guy having a squashed strawberry alleycat while his friends are all having whiskey. There are drinks and then there are "girl drinks" if you know what I mean. So I can see people having the same sort of feeling about this, in the end.
Edit: In response to someone remarking that it might be less dangerous, I think the kinds of people who would worry about that sort of thing are already using vapourisers, or would if they had the choice. I suppose the comment about the drinks being easier to consume in public makes some sense, although I'm not sure if it's a significant difference.

I'll stick to smoking it and making it into baked goods. $10 a bottle is fair, but I just enjoy the whole rolling, sparking and smoking set of motions. They are much more enjoyable and part of the ritual of smoking up.
