I guess you didn't grow up with asian or conservative parents. I stopped regularly smoking a few years ago. It zaps my motivation to do anything, so I actually would say it's 'bad' in the same way video games are bad; a fun drug that's not so good when it starts encroaching on more important priorities in life
I love the way you worded this. You made a decision for yourself, and not a generalization that applies to everyone. I have friends that want to do more stuff when they are high and friends that would rather just sit around. It's different for everyone(although I think it has more to do with the strand you are smoking).
That's a lot more thc than I'd have expected, and its also pretty expensive. I'd rather smoke my weed, but this is probably going to rake in the $$$ with californian teenagers.
Brownie Act sounds like a joke. i dont know, maybe its just me but anything that revolves around "for the children" annoys me, the meaning has been deluded so much from political abuse. death penalty for sex predators, for the chlidren - i'm cool wit this but... ban edible pot for the children seems like they want to ban pot and use children as catalyst to stir things up.

Straight out of the mouth of the dude.
This was one of my fav parts. hippie-dippie lololol. I have a card and live in Seattle, and this guy is right - all the baked goods and other infused items look like they were sent to me by my grandma - but then again who really cares what it looks like if it gets the job done. Essentially he is marketing weed, really well.
I can already see the Grape Ape rap video in my head.
You can get cans of marijuana tea in Europe if you really want to. But I don't think I've ever seen anybody buy one. You'd probably look sort of silly drinking it to be honest.

The perception that you can overdose on weed is basically false.. the amount of weed you have to ingest is so great that in reality you'd never probably be able to even do it.
Yup. Unless it was an extract you would have to eat about 1 1/2 times your body weight in weed to OD.

looks good, I love drink based drugs because they can all be moderated quite easily.
For instance, I've never done shrooms but my brother makes a killer shroom tea. If you think of it like alcohol, it's very easy to judge how much you can take before it becomes too much, this is why I like the tea over the straight mushroom, plus it tastes really good. A weed drink could be much the same and why shouldn't it be sold? It could simply be like alcohol, must be 21 and must show ID as long as it isn't marketed to kids which is a problem because drinks with bright colors and funny pictures is bound to attract young kids, this is the only thing holding this product back. Seriously, it sounds dumb but there have been cases in Law where certain alcohol labels have been banned because their labels appeal to children.

thc isnt water soluable. marijuana tea wouldnt get you high unless its dissolved in a different substance like an oil, fat or alcohol T.T if someone were to buy marijuana tea it would be solely for taste
Dosent Cannabis have a counter drug in it? Like there's THC and then something else? I remember cause I read that newer strains have really high THC %, but haven't increased the other drug, so some of the not so awesome side effects are more prevalent. Am I wrong?

aren't those just hemp teas? ie. no thc
Couldn't tell you, but my point wasn't about that so much as how it looks. I don't think any young people are going to be buying these with the illusion that it's something cool. If your friends smoke weed and you're drinking grape weed soda then you'll probably look like a dork.

Yeah, I mean having weed is one thing. Obsessing over everything weed is sort of disturbing :/
ever been to a frat party? why are you criticizing the weed culture while ignoring the beer culture? i think far more people are more obsessed with booze than weed i think hitting a bong is much more tame than being stood upside down and chugging a keg of beer or beer bong

There are a ton of different stuff that effects the effects (so to speak) in marijuana but THC is the real big active ingredient.
I would bet you just heard some holistic made up BS.

Why are you going off on a tangent? It makes sense that he's criticizing "weed culture" in a weed thread, doesn't it? He might dislike it when people become alcoholics too but you shouldn't assume that he doesn't just because he didn't mention it.

then i'd ask him to tell me why he thinks people are obsessing over weed moreso this century than last.. because of a stupid little drink? i'd also ask him why he thinks its "disturbing" and why he feels people obsess over weed more than anything else that exists on this planet. people obsess over sex, drugs, alcohol, music, games.. is that disturbing as well? everybody has their own obsessions, why are you going to go around judging them and criticizing them? wtf is the point of that?
and how am i going off tangent and he isnt for criticizing weed obsession? how is his comment more relevant to the topic than my own response?
