Graduation gift. I felt bad when I noticed the price tag and saw how much it was, the person giving me the gift saw the tag and took it off, I don't think he saw that I saw it.
:D
I love me some timepieces, I became obsessed my sophomore year.

Wow, What kind of friend makes that kind of present? :D He better be family. ^_^ And yeah, I always liked watches but the more you look into it the more obsessed you get. I will try to limit my purchases to 1 watch a year, just to make sure that I: - pick them really well - don't overspend

It's very similar to the one in the picture below, except that the three small faces are white. Oh, and it's not fake. ![]() ![]() I only really wear it when I suit up, though, or when I'm in a different time zone.

A watch is effectively a piece of jewelry for men. With phones and computers to prevalent, another device to read time is just plain redundant.

Chronoshark is probably the only online retailer that I trust. I've purchased a few watches from them as gifts, and they are reliable. Prices are very low. Most likely grey-market watches. http://www.chronoshark.com/ Amazon.com sells good watches too, but most likely grey-market goods as well. LVMH holds semi-annual sales on its watches, including TAG and a few other high-end brands. The selections are very limited, but they are a) cheaper than both mentioned above b) you have absolutely nothing to worry about in terms of authenticity, as you are shopping directly from the parent company.

Yeah, basically, grey-market is the only decent way of buying watches in Romania as well. We have a few people who manage to get a wide variety of watches like this, and it's because the retail price in stores is insane. We have prices of 25% higher than what we can find on Watchshop UK for example, who are also official distributors. Just as a comparison, I'm getting the Seiko in the OP at about 40% of the price in stores around here.
