Since this seems like a thread of watch enthusiasts, I have a questions some of you might have some experience in. I am looking to sell my Omega Seamaster 40th Anniversary James Bond watch. I don't currently have the best idea of how to go about it, as local shops don't seem to have much interest in anything non Rolex.
If you have sold you watch of a comparable value, where do you find the the best value? I am considering a few online buyers and will see what kind of quotes I get from them as well as seeing what i can get in Manhattan as its only 40 minutes away but wondering what other's experiences are when selling mid-high end watches.

I would suggest going to the watchuseek forums. Take a look at the omega section and the buy/sell section and see if you like how the process works there.
If not, there are a lot of websites such as chrono24 where you can just place the add, or even ebay, but obviously you want to do it in a more watch-friendly environment if possible.
This is just my 2 cents, I haven't really sold watches but I have a friend who deals with this on a regular basis. There are two websites in Romania related to used watches and that's where he "operates". He sold pretty much anything from $10 to $10.000 watches there, and if you can do that online here, I'm sure you should have no issue doing it in the US. Just a matter of finding the right channel I guess.

What the hell is a watch + pen photo?
Is that watch prestigious? It doesn't seem to be much different from a $40 watch at Macy's.

It's basically the same concept. Using a mechanical watch over an iPhone or Quartz is akin to using a fountain pen over a ballpoint or gel.

It's an entry level IWC.

Yeah, I get that there's a relation between the items, sort-of, kinda. But I don't think that adding a pen makes the photo look better. Even the professional looking ones and so forth, so I'm not talking about composition or things like that. I just like it when the watch is the main center of attention.
Either way, do enjoy it. Looks good!

Yeah that was me. I've been looking at watches on and off for like a good 6+ months and finally went for it a few weeks ago. Saw the Nomos super early but didn't commit, but nothing I saw afterwards felt as appealing as the Ludwig.
And yeah I'm quite happy with this watch

Is this an automatic? Nomos is absolutely solid, have a good time with it. I was debating between Nomos and IWC (and Stowa) for the longest time, but ultimately went for latter.

There's an automatic version but I went for the manual because I'm super thin and I think the bigger watches would look too gaudy. The automatic is like 3mm-5mm bigger, but Nomos generally has pretty long lugs and really exaggerated how big it looked.
