I vote for a man, over 22, with english mother tongue, who obviously lives in korea. Still not sure why he can speak korean and french. Maybe french is just a hobby, maybe he just happens to know some french expressions but doesn't really speak french (et toc!). An american who lives in korea for a long time? Educated? Here's my yo-yo theory: Mensrea loosely means not guilty because he wasn't aware he was commiting a crime. So what happened was Rea got all liquored up one night and robbed the local PC Bang of all its comp equipment. Remember when he had comp problems a few months ago? He was hammered off his ass and filthy drunk when he was removing these items from the premises. He dropped all of them several times and now they work not so well. This is why he has comp problems. Eventually, the police caught up with him and he had to spend some time in jail. His argument was he was so drunk he didn't know what the heck he was doing, surely the police would let him go? Wrong, and so he writes from behind bars with the ID Mensrea to subtly plead his 'innocence'. Furthermore, Mensrea is embarassed about his drunken, larceny conviction and wishes to hide this from his follow forum posters. So Rea, when do you get out? | ||

anyone, with that out of my system, I actaully believe that mensrea is a guy, and that he is at least 25+ (as naz said) i would, shudder, actually even believe Iszard's words might shroud some truth, he very well could be in his 50s. most likely i would guess 28/29 though. A couple of years ago, back in my "harrass gosu players for games" days he was the ONLY guy who actually said more than "NO!" to me. he talked to me for awhile and told me a couple of gosu channels to try and find games (he didnt actually play me)....ANYWAY, during that conversation his english was impecable, better than mine. Lets look at some observations. -------------------------------- 1) His English comprehension is very good, suggesting that he is from country that has English as its primary language. - Grrrr? (This automatically rules out Australia as I believe they are working on some variation of George Orwels "New Speak". From what I can gather, the entire language comprises of the following words "gidday", "mate", "sheep" and a word/sentence that sounds like this "passusanotherbeerlove") *hmm sorry got side-tracked. 2) He speaks/reads Korean. However I have only seen proof of his ability to read basic things like newspapers etc. - Grrrr is learing koreans.... 3) He has contact (and good relations) with most pro-gamers. Meaning he is/was a progamer or very close to it? - Grrrr or Garimto or 1 of 100 others 4) He chooses to 'hang out' with people on a mostly European forum - (Zeus/IntoTheRain etc all spent alot of time playing european gosus) 5) He knows Legionnaire very well (from my observations); Leg is an Australian player who, to the best of my knowledge, dosn't play that many progamers... - Dunno what to make of this Bah I can think of more but this post is far to long already. sorry I still think hes Grrrr though | ||

Maybe Mensrea is more than 1 person. I mean, maybe it's a group of intellectuals who are trying to deceive us. 1 guy works or has worked for the government, another one is heavily interested in broodwar, etc. They share the time spent on this site so it doesn't take 'him' a lot of time :/ This theory wasn't mentioned before, so.. also, other anagrams are: seem-ran, it seems he's a well-known ran (terran) player. Here is my tip. Mensrea is a writer for some sports / gaming mag in korea. I'm guessing Sports Chosun, not only because its the only mag I know, but also because he takes a lot of info from it. How did I come to that conclusion? Well, to quote himself: "I've written and publiced several articles where I state its impossible for toss to beat terr on it [incubus]" (may not be 100% correct) But it tells us that he is a writer, which explains his in-depth knowledge of Politics, world situation, Broodwar and sports (football). I bet some of the koreans here could look up the old articles about incubus (probably either from the earlier stage of the SKY 2001 tourney, or right before the finals) and see who wrote them. Maybe this is an indication that, by choosing said name, he/she feels guilty for 'smurfing' the appreciative Brood War public. ie. Deceiving his/her fans. Personally, I know I lose a good 20-25 hours sleep a week over his/her alias, and this is just getting worse and worse. I have already been warned by my doctor that I suffer from insomnia and need to make more of an effort to get a 'regular' nights sleep. But what can I do? Where do I go from here? It is just a matter of time until my insomnia grows to the point that I completely lose my small and dwindling grasp on reality. Once that happens it won't be long until I get fired from my job, drop out of university, become brutally addicted to some highly illegal and destructive substance. Here goes my thought: He was a canadian gamer, cause of the english and french. He thought he could become pro gamer like nazgul, so he moved to korea. Since he was friends with some liquid members(corbalt perhaps) they asked him to do some big league reports. He never became pro gamer but he liked it so much in korea so he decided to settle down, find a job and get a home. Personally I think he could be a couple persons: Smuft, Testie or some old school gamer. If someone is really interested they could do a research about old canadian gamers moved to korea. That is what seems the most logical to me after reading all the posts. GL with it. | ||
