First of all, half of the pro gamers are Kim. So mensrea is Kim. In fact he is not grrr, but he is in korea and he is a toss player (always hoping for nal_ra to get in OGN), his name is kim, he had to stop playing pro since he started full time report for teamliquid. He is...... G A R I M T O. | ||

here is some more CLUES that mensrea let behind him that can only confirm that he is GARIMTO (from another thread): "I'm no book critic " (neither is Garimto ) "Or I might have to start polishing my sword and armor... " (Garimto is for sure a ZEALOT, and I havent seen him with his armor on him so I guess it might need polishing) | ||

Moreover it would be difficult for a progamer to remain quite impartial and objective about gaming, about specific games. He never writes "he should have done... In his place I would... I also noticed that..." -> I don't think he's a progamer. BUT he's very concerned about BW. Did you take a look to the NORTH vs SOUTH KOREA thread ? Did you see what he wrote ? He knows a lot about world news. He talks about nuclear issue, geopolitical options, criticism about CNN... ->Mensrea is more mature than a 20 year-old gamer. He talks a lot about korean situation. ->Mensrea is korean He has very good english level and great writing skills. -> nice education. concerning male or fem ? I dunnno. I'd say a male. Not so sure. But many forum posts, interests in game, geopolitics... -> male 95% I think he's a journalist.  Maybe those who have to comment games. that would fit : - knowledge of the game - knowledge of players - writing skills - talking about other subjects Don't you think ?  | ||

Here's my yo-yo theory: Mensrea loosely means not guilty because he wasn't aware he was commiting a crime. So what happened was Rea got all liquored up one night and robbed the local PC Bang of all its comp equipment. Remember when he had comp problems a few months ago? He was hammered off his ass and filthy drunk when he was removing these items from the premises. He dropped all of them several times and now they work not so well. This is why he has comp problems. Eventually, the police caught up with him and he had to spend some time in jail. His argument was he was so drunk he didn't know what the heck he was doing, surely the police would let him go? Wrong, and so he writes from behind bars with the ID Mensrea to subtly plead his 'innocence'. Furthermore, Mensrea is embarassed about his drunken, larceny conviction and wishes to hide this from his follow forum posters. So Rea, when do you get out? | ||

all your dumb clue shows us is that mensrea isn't Waxangle. a Journalist is a good guess. maybe an american who moved to korea right after college (being young enough to care about SC, yet educated enough to make those gosu posts). maybe she's with the American embacy(spelling?) to korea? | ||

anyone, with that out of my system, I actaully believe that mensrea is a guy, and that he is at least 25+ (as naz said) i would, shudder, actually even believe Iszard's words might shroud some truth, he very well could be in his 50s.  most likely i would guess 28/29 though. Obviously he is well educated, I wounder if he writes for a living? nothing major, perhaps just a journalist or the like. o hope naz meets u mensrea so he can betray ur trust and post ur pic and bibliography on here ~~ although nothing would ruin this thread quite like the truth | ||
