Furthermore, its also a real shame to see so many people who are not US citizens claim that this guy is a hero.... honestly, what has the US done to any of you people in foreign countries? What has the US government actually done to screw up your life or genuinely effect you in any way? You guys need to check your perspectives from teh other side of that computer monitor, some of the things being said in this thread are completely biased for no real good reason other than predjudice.

I'm largely referring to the european posters here who have seemingly abundant hatred for the US. I've seen several posts from outraged Danish people.... where in the world did that come from!? Seriously people... relax

Please quote exactly where I stated in that post that the US pressured Sweden into issuing this warrant. Also, those aren't "blanket absolutes". Please learn the definition of terms before you try to throw them around. A blanket absolute statement would be something like "It's not a possibility". "I think the US is behind this arrest" is not an absolute statement, it's an opinion, or a baseless assertion at worst. Don't try to be cute and use others' words when you don't even understand them. Sorry, I thought you were one of the people saying the US is behind the smear campaign. It's implied clearly from your posts, but my apologies! PS. US government, please try to be less obvious. I get that you want to destroy the guy Hrm. Regardless, baseless assertions are baseless assertions. How about your posts regarding how MasterCard and other companies have been pressured by the US government to cut off support? http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=138509¤tpage=44#878 Any facts to support this? If you can link to credible sources detailing the pressure the US government placed on these companies, then you're right and I'll accept that wholeheartedly. We still threw them a hand after we went in and tore stuff up. Showed them where Hussein was, etc. I'm largely referring to the european posters here who have seemingly abundant hatred for the US. Doesn't need to be. There's tons of people on TL who's countries are even allied with the US who still manage to post "Go figure this happened in America, blah blah blah" garbage all day.

http://radsoft.net/news/20101001,01.shtml According to that site, it can prove the women are lying. He took snapshots of tweets and blog posts from the woman accusing Assange, before they deleted it. She posted about planning a revenge against him because apparently he cheated one with the other or something like that.

Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that implying the US is behind MasterCard withdrawing support for this guy equals the US is behind Sweden issuing an arrest warrant. Again, you don't seem to get the definitions of the terms. "Baseless assertion" implies there is no base. There is plenty of basis for the assertions here - they suddenly withdraw support for him right after government officials call for his head, and the reasonings they give are not even in accordance with their own policies? Kind of suspect. That's pretty cool looking up my post history though to back up assertions that are even different from the assertions you originally made off of one post. Particularly as I asked you to provide quotations from that one post, but whatever. Too obvious man, should have stuck to your original guns.

Every single one of you who thinks that this Assange guy is a hero needs to think again. The swedes are following a case that was brought forward to them without any pressure from the US. We'll be pressuring him on our on soon, we've never been a country that is scared to seem like a bully. While this wikileaks thing is bad for the US right now, who knows what country this guy will turn on next if you let him continue.... Furthermore, its also a real shame to see so many people who are not US citizens claim that this guy is a hero.... honestly, what has the US done to any of you people in foreign countries? You guys need to check your perspectives from teh other side of that computer monitor, some of the things being said in this thread are completely biased for no real good reason other than predjudice. Quite honestly, all governments lie. Every single one of them. However only the United States government got caught by a single guy which showed in what way they were lying to not only other governments, but united states citizens as well (IE grabbing false support for global warming). It begins to raise the question of how can you defend the current government that's in office when all they have said has been proved wrong. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an anarchist. Hell if anything id consider myself a bit of a patriot. But I cannot find any worth while argument to defend the actions of the current legislation. And what can be said about those people who blindly follow a government when you don't even know what their motives are? Especially with freedoms slowly being taking away being replaced with the illusion of choice (IE paper or plastic, scan or pat down, public or private education, etc..) as for why this guy targeted US alone? No idea, as there is just as much dirt in any other country. Must be because the US is still classified as a sole superpower, or perhaps they screwed him somehow. And there arnt to many African posters here either. Whats your point?

Throw them a hand was term used for lack of a better word. We are coming up on 10 years in Iraq, if we wanted oil, we would have had it by now.

This isn't democracy damn it. If governments don't have the shield of applying secrecy to their documents based upon vague notions of security then how on earth can they hope to corruptly govern and act to serve their own agenda's? I just don't know what the worlds coming to these days, people don't care about corruption or unethical or possibly illegal practices occuring in their governments. What they care about is not knowing it so they can continue to life content lives of subserviant docility. Damn this man to the fiery pits of hell for daring to suggest that ignorance ought not equal bliss.
