Reaper and Excal do not represent the opinions of most Americans at this point. They're young, probably wont vote anyway, and don't understand what is really going on in the worldly reality. Quit arguing with them...just let them go watch FOX News.
There was already US proof that there was no connection between Iraq and terrorist forces. Besides, it would have been nearly impossible for that to occur simply because it was a country in the UN that has been under close inspection for the last decade.
By the way, Bush can post ads. He's had them on TV. Michael Moore can advertise his movie. They've been on TV. The only thing they can't do is advertise falsities. If they do, the US government can open a lawsuit of libel...which they haven't done. They're not going to either because that would require a court to analyze the actions of the Bush administration.
You kids'll grow up someday. Eventually, you'll realize that you were just that: kids.

I think the problem was that the commercials could not show Bush in them. Moore can advertise the film, just not show film of Bush. I beleive that only applies to TV though(as opposed to newspapers, radio, etc.. ) .

More War = Less Terrorists = World Less Safe
How and why do you make the distinction between terrorism and war.
|
more war = everyone dead = no people = no terrorists = world more safe
thats what bush is thinking

terrorism is the fear of the enemy that never leaves war is the need that we keep on working to stop the enemy forever

I think the funny thing about conservatives (absolutely true of all people, but for now I'm just attacking cons) is this:
Conservatives lie and then pretend like they didn't until there's too much pressure against them. Then, they present an abosolutely retarded one-sided presentation of something and use that as a representative of full truth; and that's because conservatives are moral people and they have the weight of all-knowing-ness behind them.
For example, Reaper's retarded post delineating all the "progress" we had made in Iraq, ignoring all the complex issues regarding culture, perspectives, and the humans behind the problems. Obviously our solutions are the best.
For example, in ALL his fucking posts, Excalibur just dodges and happily ignores all the attacks that completely discredit him. I would wager, as mentioned earlier in this thread, that he wouldn't have put up the source until so many people pressure him to.
I'll use that time to rant. I hate hypocritical people that fucking lie and then act righteous. It just so happens so many of the ardent defends of conservatism on this forum are such. Personally, I favor conservative government policies (Jefferson style, not that financial shit like tax cuts) a lot more, but having to put up with the assload of hypocrisy is too much.
Oh yea. Of course- to defend themselves, they will probably try to nitpick this post, or some other post, happily ignoring the whole character. It's your choice to be a lawyer and not a philosopher.

Uhh if I remember correctly, Cons are usually older and there are more of them in the US, but they are less likely to go vote while Liberals are usually younger and are more prone to vote, therefore making up for their slightly smaller numbers. Therefore implying that Convervatives are "little kids" would be ignorant.
Although I say this, I am in agreement with the majority of the forums right now, but whatever.

The clips that Mike Moore uses to make his points in this film may be real images, but it has been proven again and again that he blends the clips together to create a false impression.

michael moore is NOT about humor, and michael moore is NOT honest. and the truth is not the truth if you only tell part of the story and give a piece of facts. you can't cut up the "truth" and tell it in little slivers that make something other than the whole truth, and pass it off as the truth. that's what people like moore and sharpton and ashcroft do. moore is a mud raker without a bit of integrity, journalistic or otherwise. while it would be foolish to dismiss every "obervation" made by moore, i find it impossible to give any of his arguments credibility, as he uses misleading editting and poor attempts and sarcasm to support his "piece of the truth". it's ridiculous. anyone who jumps on the moore bandwagon is no better than the people who just jump on the bush bandwagon. think for yourselves and understand that not everything these people say is true. you're so quick to call bush a liar, but moore is a prophet? please. be honest with yourself.

I would vote, but I can't, will vote when I can. Yes I do understand. And I barely watch FOX News.
Fucking hell, you talk about how we have no clue what you are talking about, but then show yourself you have no clue what you are talking about. UN inspection stopped in 1998, after that is when the suspicious activity happened.
You don't understand the McCain-Fiengold law. Again, you don't know shit about something very basic. Because of McCain-Fiengold, within the last 30 or 60 days before the election, you cannot run ads on television. Michael Moore's commercials would be during then. Therefore the Democrats could get advertising whereas Bush couldn't.
Just kids, maybe, but it seems I have a better grasp on the facts than you do.

any kid that supports bush is a moron. CASE CLOSED

Not willing to explain a concept this basic. But because I am not a dumbass I will try:
Terrorism : Random fucks operating outside geneva conventions trying to stir up shit against civilian poplations. Usually use Guerilla tactics.
War : Government launching military operations (Geneva Convnetions may or may not be applicable), usually fights other military operations.
Now of course, both of our statements are gross over simplifications of reality. Terrorist tactics can be used as a part of warfare, but warfare is not terrorism. It would be like saying Tank rushing is StarCraft. Tank rushing is a tactic in StarCraft, but that doesn't mean it is StarCraft.
Of course, once again, war doesn't neccesarily equal enough dead terrorists to stop terrorism, there are other factors to account for, and we are trying to account for them in Iraq (WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IT'S A WAR FOR OIL, IRAQ DOESN'T SOLVE TERRORISM, OMFG!!!1).
