Secondly, to Reaper, my apologies...you didn't make it clear you were talking about that bill and I didn't recall that you had mentioned it in a previous post. You probably did, but with an 8 page thread, I tend not to read every single post. In any case, there's absolutely no reason that bill will inhibit Moore's movie advertisements. Unless the movie or its advertisements are being funded by a political party, then there's nothing the government can do about it...at least under McCain-Feingold.

If it kills terrorists, then yes I like violence, compared to the alternative (more terrorism). This is an honest question, because I really haven't read the news about this particular thing: How do we know the weapons found in Iraq haven't been bought in by terrorists to be used on us, and not by Saddam?

You're being honest about the fact that the only difference between the violence of the American government and the violence of an Arabic "terrorist" is what they call themselves while doing it.

A war between nations is an army fighting another army. Terrorists tend to use terror (as in fear) to get their point across. They target civilians and other innocent people. There is a significant difference. So Famouzze is just being stupid in the above post. But we are not fighting an army. It is not an army vs an army. Terrorism : Random fucks operating outside geneva conventions trying to stir up shit against civilian poplations. Usually use Guerilla tactics. War : Government launching military operations (Geneva Convnetions may or may not be applicable), usually fights other military operations. You seem to want to use Geneva conventions in relation to "terrorist" but in relation to "war". Either we abide by the conventions or not. Any double standard is not worth arguing. Define "guerilla tactics" and explain why they are relevant. Whats the differance between a government funded military attacking a civilian population, and a "terrorist" attacking a civilian population?

70-90% is probably just as many civilians the US would be detaining if they were intentionally targeting civilians. or if not very slightly less. so what's your point? you think it's ok because the government says "those were by accident"?

itchreliever, this sentence means that there are innocent civilians being arrested in iraq. this means their rights are being abused. this means that the US Army is not targeting only "terrorists" but a much larger portion of the population (civilians). is it that hard to understand? unless you mean "targetted" as in "killed," then that is a whole other discussion.

... the thing is that nobody can do nothing, but re-electing Bush won't help to smooth things ... oh wait, you can do something: DO NOT VOTE for him
