you're not bringing any counterarguments to the table. For one, you are attacking Moore, and I never claimed to be Moore's official spokesman. I also have not yet seen the film, so maybe it is best for me to stay off the thread until I do. Unfortunetly what you presented as "your" argument was so fluffed up with belligerent nonsense that I don't want to take the time to pry out her points. Maybe the film will inspire me to do so. I have spent a great deal of time "debating" with you, and feel that it is perfectly reasonable for me to comment on your debating style. You say that you have been only met with "flames" , but that is becuase when presented with real points you tend to ignore them. Why would I, or anyone else spend a good 30 minutes of there time constructing a post to counter you, if it will be ignored? If you summarize the points in the article that you presented, and give other information to back it, then I will gladly debate what I feel is necessary(I'm not here to defend Moore) . So far you have not backed anything that you have said. You posted an article and expect it to speak for itself. If you are going to start a debate I would expect you to take the time to stand your ground and back up what you beleive, not just refer back to your original post as if it was the general consensus that it was infallible. I come here and debate for fun. I have nothing personal against you. It would just be alot more fun if you(and others on both sides of the spectrum) would actually debate, rather than make concrete declarations and then disappear.

You only Know what the government wants you to know... You are their Little Puppets LOL! How can u refute some theory if u don't even know the truth? Just think about it . . . And you, being a non-American, have a much better viewpoint on said things that Bush has done!! Honestly, you don't know what they've done either, only the smear campaigns your country, and the rest of Europe has done against him; all that is just as bias as anything we have seen, only to the other side. You just happen to think that because it's anti-Bush, that it's true, which isn't always the case. The fact of the matter is that all governments have an agenda, and they lie to push it. Bush lies to push his agenda, Clinton did to his, your prime minister pushes his, Kerry pushes his, all politicians do it. Finding the real truth is what's hard to do, and it takes a lot of research, and even then you really can't be sure, because those people have an agenda as well. Basically, what I am saying is this: You really don't know what Bush has done either, and even if you have theories on it, they are unprovable, and no one cares about your opinion anyways. So, keep your uneducated, and bias opinion (especially if you're just going to slam a country), because you're just as "brainwashed" as anyone in America is, only for a different cause.

So, if you could just make sure that you're using the right one from now on, that'd be great. EDIT: This has nothing to do with the above quote, but I saw the movie, and a lot of it just seemed like bullshit. Also, as a commentater, Moore sucks ass. He talks like he's talking to a fucking five year old, and while everyone else seemed to love it (in the theater I was in), I found it insulting, to say the least. Then his bullshit of going to congressmen to ENLIST their sons was stupid. Does he not realize it's not the father's choice? Also, this whole "calling upon these people to fight blah blah." Yeah, apparently no one realizes that these people signed up to do EXACTLY what they were called for. The military isn't just a place to go for free college, and a pension plan. These people signed up knowing the possibilities of their choice, and then Moore seems to imply the government did it without them having the slightest knowledge it might happen. He speaks as though they were drafted, which they weren't...

Lord knows an 18 year old would never be impressionable right? Not everybody thinks like you. Maybe if you had ever known someone in the military your age, grew up with people prone to joining the military, or visitted a recruiting station you might have a clue.

However, as I am sure you yourself agree, no government of a civilised nation should be entitled to wantonly throw away the lives of its soldiers in unnecessary and immoral military action and simply claim that that was what they signed up for. A civilised democratic society has a right to subject the military decisions its government makes to scrutiny and comment and expect it to abide by certain moral standards. I am sure you agree with all of the above. Now, Moore, like many others, believes that the war is unnecessary and immoral and therefore believes that the lives of its soldiers are being thrown away on an unnecessary and immoral war. If you want to disagree with him, I submit that you must disagree with him on this point.

I didn't know high post count was a prerequisite of an intellectual response. BTW, this has nothing to do with whether or not I agree with the pfff is smart enough to argue with ObsoleteLogic or whatever, just that it kind of sounded like an elitist assholish comment on your behalf.

Not refusing help from Hezbollah is sedition, period. Don't twist the meaning of the situation. Hezbollah contacted a distribution company in the UAE and offered to help( Gaurdian ) . I don't understand how that can be interpreted as having a working relationship with Hezbollah. There are many conservative websites that seem to want to push this, but I don't think it is fooling anyone.

If Crown Prince Abdullah is deposed by its extremist population, Bin Laden is the most popular replacement. Speaking of lies... Is this woman kidding? How ironic it is that she has an article attacking someone for lying and misleading, when she makes such outragous claims. Once again the conservative figure uses the same techniques she is attackin Moore for( In my opinion, even more so) . Is that not completely shaimless?
