The word is only used twice in the games, I believe, in Oracle of Seasons, and once in Twilight Princess. But as soon as I saw it, I was like "Oh that's sounds so much cooler than Hylian!"

well since Njal is my real life name i dident want to make some wierd name up and have to emberrass myself infront of real life friends who all used their first/last names as in game names.

the capital A was originally a type but i thought it looked cool so i just left it in there

A friend of mine is studying medicine and is thinking about specializing in pathology. So his ID is Pathology.

I thought it was a cool concept to take another passion of mine and bring it to Starcraft.

I'm a sleep researcher. So for a while, I thought of different terms related to that. REM (rapid eye movement) seemed like a good fit with the crazy hand-to-eye coordination RTS requires. Voila.

salty wet is "ham sup" literally translated from cantonese

ham sup translated means perverted/horny. ham sup isn't a very offensive word, it's more like a word used between cantonese buddies/spouses, and it actually sounds hilarious when you pronounce it right

was playing WoW lke 3 years back... could never think of a good name, or one that my brothers wouldnt make fun of, so i just bashed my keyboard and stuck with it, brothers could respect that, and its fun to try to announce, so i imagine if i ever become famous, commentators will be annoyed :D

Several years ago, I joined a clan on SC whose schtick was putting [r] in the name. And I wanted to reset my stats after my name Ene[r]gy wasn't doing so well, so I just looked around my desk and came up with T[r]iscuit.

One part liking Triscuits, one part nostalgia made me choose this name for my SC2 and teamliquid accounts.

One of my favorite games of all time is Sacrifice, and one of the five Gods that control all elements in it is Stratos, god of Air/Frost/Lightning, and his storyline in the game is fantastic. When it came to choosing an I.D., I was trying to think of something decent and not recognizable (my original I.D. was pretty lame and recognizable, since I game up with it when I was 7 years old), and Stratos is fairly ambiguous. Of course, the stratosphere is the first thing that pops into my head when I think of the word, and I wanted a slightly longer I.D., so I just changed it from stratosphere to stratosspear, and put the underscore in the middle and capitalized certain letters to give it a little uniqueness.

10 years ago, i needed a nick for.. i think it might have actually been for BW. so i sat there trying to think of a name while eating like a million lycheejellos out of one of those buckets. Like 20 minutes later i realized it was perfect.

My dad traced our heritage back to scottland and in the mid 1500's my family traveled from town to town making arrows/bows and smithing stuff. I thought it was pretty cool because I am good with firearms, and like to hunt. Also, my last name is supposed to be fletcher, but my grandma remarried when my dad was 6 and my dad took my step-grandfathers last name, which is "king."

Even though I always go by King2169 or DKing I decided to be a little creative. However I just love the general idea of being a leader of a country or just a large number of people(which is why I love rts like starcraft and warcraft)So I decided to go with Lord but, that was unavailable so I started looking through old warcraft lore. Then i thought to myself "hmmm lore... and lord" and so Lore+Lord=Lored.

Some years ago, I was searching a new ID during my science class. I saw a First Aid kit on the wall and I thought F1RSTAID would be a great idea. I recently dropped the AID and VOILA !
