When I was like 5 years younger, I used to watch Yugioh a lot and there was a real cool-looking one called Neos, so I just decided to use that as my ID. + Show Spoiler + Another Yugioh fanboy. That makes us two! Anyway, my first nickname was "Mammashjälte" which translate into "Mommasboy", which was suitable when I played vanilla WoW and had a Rank13 warrior smashing everyone. Long story short, I decided to go with a more mature nickname and I wanted a short(<7 letters) yet a cool one. I wanted a name that inflicted terror and fear uppon my opponent!
Prepare to meet your DEMISE!

Well, I first started in the FPS genre with Quake 3. My friends would complain that I kept dodging their rockets, and I was hunting for a name.. Figured to dodge a rocket, I must be pretty elusive. It caught on, and now I'm Elusive or Mr. Elusive in games from CSS to WC3 and SC2.

Amongst my old co-workers, I was rarely the first guy they called when they needed something, but I always saved the day (at my old job, at least ).

So basically one day I watched the movie called "The little rascals" which is about these kids who all seem to have some sort of skill and a hideout and they make soapbox cars. Either way there's a scene in the movie where they advertise that they have a 6-foot man-eating chicken. expecting a large chicken that can consume people it's just a kid on a box with a trenchcoat on eating a bucket of kfc or something. Then I drew a picture of a shoe (kind of looked like chucks) eating a man the next day in class. The same day I drew the picture I made my first email account, so when I had a block about what to name it I just thought of my picture, and the ID has kind of stuck since then.
Although I've largely switched over to TyrantsInc (which has no particular backstory) I still have maneatingshoe for some of my accounts

The one I am currently posting under comes from one of the first online registrations I have ever done.
Adi is the nickname some of my close relatives call me by (My real name is Adrian). The 011 comes from my age at the time and the yo was because simply "adi" was already taken.
However, when I play games, I normally go by the ID Fearless which is a reference to the movie by Jet Li which I had just finished watching. Beforehand, my name was Waking The Fallen which is a reference to Avenged Sevenfold but I eventually realized how emoish/stupid the name was and switched to Fearless.
Tada~

Red is my favorite color; the "taisha" is a notoriously complicated corner play from the ancient board game called "Go".

I got my name because lindsay lohan had this song out a couple of years ago called bossy, and i used to think she was sexy as hell when she wasnt a partyholic/druggy. still love that bish tho <3

UPDATE: don't try and act cool by posting ambiguous one liners that only explain your reference to people who already understand the reference
actually EXPLAIN the idea behind your ID

radiohead is my fave band, this is a cool song title by them

So there was this rpg for Game Boy Color called "Magi Nation" that I consider to be one of the most underrated games....evah!* Its sorta pokemon-esque but more mature and much more than a typical pokemon clone. The strongest creatures you could get were called "Hyrens" (think "legendary pokemon) and I wanted something unique for my id so thats what I picked :D
*Ironically the game was only made to promote a trading card game and although reviews were pretty positive, no sequel was made

I have three gaming nicks: Colonel Steel, Iridor, and Eerie.
Colonel Steel evolved out of playing Natural Selection, a Half-Life mod. When I went to college half the campus played NS. I started playing and found that I was good at defending as an alien. There was a campus joke about how alien defense was like a wet paper bag. My roomie suggested I nick as Steel Bag, which I did for a few games, but people didn't want to say "Steel Bag" calling for me, so it was shortened to Steel. Everyone got the joke anyway. Then I captained a team a couple of times for an on-campus league, and became Captain Steel. Then I captained, organized, and administered an on-campus league twice, and captained a team in an inter-collegiate tournament, and my team decided that Captain wouldn't cut it, so I was promoted to Colonel Steel.
That's still my preferred nick in FPS games because other people gave it to me, but it's always taken for games when I start playing. When I started playing AoE II online, I had to pick something else. I had just read about Isidore of Alexandria and thought that Isidore was a cool name, but it was taken. So I switched it to Iridor because that sounded cooler anyway.
Played as Iridor in several games, then started playing WoW casually. I played several alts, all named Irisomething. (Iridor, Iridos, Iridon, etc.) People started calling me just Iri (earee) on Vent. About the same time a couple of my regular buddies in AoE put up a website for our clan to use, and somebody decided to have a list of the members with short descriptions. We all teased each other about them. Mine said something about how I had eerie gamesense, and I took a fair amount of ribbing. So when the clan broke up and I started playing SC:BW and needed a nick on ICCup, Iri/Eerie came naturally. I've used some variant on those for everything Starcraft since.
How's that for a long and convoluted story? :-D

My name is

Saechiis is Say Cheese in "cool" phonetics, subliminally warning my opponents for a shameless incoming cheese

I rolled a tank in WoW and Pull seemed to be an epic tank name...I came up with it on the spot. So when it came time to come up with a new name for forums/new games because my old SN was nsioeis...don't even ask about that one, I still have no clue where it came from...I just stuck with Pull!

its bra spelled backwards

rTrap
Well I let my friend use my account and on the day of the patch he thought it would be cool to pick my name for me. So he decided to take the first letter of my horribly long name and add the last 4 letters. Ironically...he spelled it long...or he actually pronounces it that way (my name is Ranapratap, okay? (shorter: Rana)).

I just....well...
A guy with shaggy brown hair huddles over his computer keyboard in a dimly lit room, focusing intently on the World of Warcraft Vanilla beta character creation screen...He loved the paladin hero in Warcraft 3, it only made perfect sense to reroll one in WoW...
"To..ren..hire", he types slowly, cautiously, as if he might fumble and ruin this moment.
Looking up at the screen to seeing the result of his work, he leans back in his chair with a creak and exclaims,
"Genius!"
Literally, my name was randomly made up in my head. It means nothing, it stands for nothing (Except my friend told me it means "Tower Here" in Dutch? Someone able to confirm that? lol) other than me. If you ever see a "Torenhire" or "Torengire" or any variation in any game or forum, it's me.
