My favorite drummer, James "The Rev" Sullivan, is dead at the age of 28. Even if you didn't like the band, appreciate his talents as a drummer/songwriter . Don't make this thread a competition between percussionist, but just mourn the loss of a great musician
+ Show Spoiler +There was breaking news in last few hours that famous drummer of the music band Avenged Sevenfold, James Sullivan has is dead. Few people have suspected the news is not true, but official declaration from his band has made and it is true that James Sullivan is no more.
Officials also confirmed about his death, but the reason behind the death they said is quite unbelievable as they declared it as a natural death. James was just 28 and entire music industry and Hollywood is shocked by this news. Few days back, another young celebrity from Hollywood, Brittany Murphy died and her death was also declared as a natural death. She was only 32. Both James and Brittany were too young to die at this age it is hard to believe that their deaths are natural. James Sullivan was better known by his stage name “the rev’. Few people used to call him “Reverend Tholomew plague”. He was the drummer and back-up vocalist for his band Avenged Sevenfold. Prior to that he lead vocalist in avant-grade metal band Pinkly Smooth with Synyster gates who is now the lead guitarist in Avenged Sevenfold. Sullivan spend his childhood in Huntington Beach, California and got married with Leana Silver.
+ Show Spoiler +It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time. Jimmy you are forever in our hearts. We love you. Not a big fan myself, but it is always sad to see someone die, especially someone so young and talented.

Maybe it was the hair?

This is the first time I've heard of this guy. Was he some really well known drummer? I don't think I've ever heard this band's music before, either.

Surprised that it was a natural death. RIP.

I bet he died of a stroke or something.

It's a shame to see him die so young; He was a really good drummer, although I'm disappointed in the way the band developed over the years. The first few albums were good until, in my opinion, A7X sold out.

Wow, he was a good drummer. I just wished he was in a better band. But I hope his family is able to pass the grieving.

saw title and thought sharpton or jackson had died
:/

Weird that someone can die of natural causes so young, sucks when someone who entertains others dies.
Looks like 2010 is getting a head start on 2009 for most celebrity deaths.

always a tragedy to go so young regardless who you are. RIP

Very musical drummer, I know alot of people will find that hard to understand since he played metal, but his parts really fit with what was going on around him.

Oh what the fuck, he was the best part of A7X. Shit, I'm pissed now ;_;
RIP >_>
edit: lol foundt his in a Youtube comment
Dear God, I pray James "The Rev" Sullivan is in a little piece of heaven in the afterlife making the angels scream. He seized the day in bat country then burned it down, his unholy confessions trashed and scattered. We gave him the strength of the world and he gave a us a second heartbeat. He is MIA, but will walk on through thick and thin to the wicked end. May you be in eternal rest

That's too bad, he was a good drummer. I kind of agree with Try, I liked their older stuff, and thought they kind of fell off.
