its not a wormhole for sure;
1. if it was, it probably wouldn't release so much light and look like the milky way
2. negative energy (if it existed) needed to hold the wormhole open would have probably fked europe or the entire planet.
3. closure of a wormhole that can be seen by the naked eye would mean a black hole at our doorstep (explosion?)=certain death and extinction of the human race by 2 o'clock in the afternoon

(What they seem to be after is "revenge" for the imaginary humiliation at the hands of America in the 90's.) The missile story doesn't add up since this EXACT same phenomenon happened in China a while back. The video on youtube showing how something could cause such a situation would require you to be at a perfectly specific angle for the spiral to appear that way, as well. Seeing as how it looks the same in all the various photographs, at many different angles, it would have to be very far away for it to happen, and also be absurdly large.
