Ok, so I'm browsing the forum and what do I see?
YouTube thread
K-pop thread
J-pop thread
Heavy Metal thread
Movie thread
etc. etc. etc.

And where the fuck is rock?! Let's go rockers, post your poison.

I'll start of with my favorite rock band. There's many kind of horrible, bad, awful and so on rock bands, not so much good ones, precious few great ones and only one the greatest.
Do you know why it's the only one? Because no other band is AC/DC.

Rock is not just about the music. It's a way of life. Now, before you'll post some new "rock" bands that haven't been on the scene for more than a couple of years (there are a few really good ones), just make sure they have the balls to stand among the giants.

Rush is so good; they have been one of my favourite bands for a long time.

This is my favourite song from them, the intro is so good; you can't get any better than Alex Lifeson.

Metal heads take a lot of pride in their music...so when anyone gets it wrong, puts it under a different sub-genre, says something about it that they don't like, etc, they get all up in arms, douchey, condescending and pretentious.

Whenever I see Mark Knopfler I can't help but picture the leader of a polish band Elektryczne Gitary. He looks very similar (the band is quite nice too, for something made for fun by an MD and his friends).

And to continue with local patriotism:

WTF... this thread has been dead for over a year! Is TL oblivious to the greatness of classic Rock 'n Roll? I'm pretty sure I have a good reason to bump this...

Here's a great song by Motley Crue called Kickstart My Heart. Gets me pumping every time I listen to it. Best part IMO is from 2:52 to the end.
