He was the last man back because he wasn't even with the line. He also didn't close down the man with the ball, which is what you always should do even if it leaves open passing lines. the goal was taken very well, though.

Man united just sat back and took advantage of their opportunities, and nani played great. That's how important games are won to be honest. Score a goal, sit back then counter with speed which was provided by rooney park and nani during the whole game.

Flawless defence and his goal today was a masterpiece. he had lots of those crazy-good long shots or volleys or whatever, and he was always able to run up and down all the time. he's better defensively now than he used to be though. and while riise's last season in liverpool wasn't too great, selling him and then attempt to replace him with 5 different inferior players was probably benitez' biggest mistake so far.

It was a perfectly executed volley this time: Most awesome norwegian ever! I was really sceptical when Roma bought him and continued to be so during his first season, but he has totally won me over. He has been one of Roma's best players during this epic non-losing streak that Roma is on. He works his ass off every game, shows Italian class defence and also scores important goals and provides great crosses. Either Riise has grown during his time in Roma or I seriously undervalued him before he came. I always knew he could shoot really hard, but I thought that was about it. ![]() Okaka's awesome game winning backheel: On another note, that guy Gedo in Egypt had a magical tournament in the African Cup of Nations. He came in as a sub in 6 games and scored in 5 of them (including the game winning goal in the final). Why do so few Egyptian players try their luck in Europe?

well to be fair he seems to have matured significantly, to the point where he probably deserves to continue to live, but in his earlier years his idiocy was so extreme that he managed to be one of norway's most successful athletes and one of norway's most hated people. in a country that absolutely worships norwegians that make a mark on the world, that is very impressive. BUT, now he actually seems like a decent guy!
