Wow Carlos Boozer is a douchebag. After all his time of saying "ya fuck Utah I'm opting out to get more money" he goes and doesn't opt out because he realizes he won't get more money elsewhere. If I was a Utah fan I would be furious at him. That's such a huge slap in the face and shows that he has no loyalty to his team. Sure basketball is a business, but you also have to consider loyalty and friendships and stuff, and Boozer clearly showed that he has only one thing on his mind.

In other news, Kobe decided to not opt out. There goes my hope he would opt out and resign for less money to give LA a better shot at keeping Ariza/Odom/making another addition. I'm not surprised though! =p

So, Chauncey has turned into Ben Gordon, CV, and #15 in the draft (no idea if this guy is any good).

At this point the pistons are much better than they were after the trade. At this point I think they should be a top 5 East team minimally, potentially better. They are younger and more talented already.

Probably must be some other move about to happen because neither Rip or Ben Gordon want to come off the bench, and Gordon definitely was not just given 10 million dollars to be a bench player. So... maybe some way to trade Rip for a big? Hope so, otherwise another season of Rip fuming.

So I guess right now the only certainties about Detroit next year are:

Stuckey, Gordon, Villanueva.

I really like Villanueva. I also really like Gordon, although I think he's way too one dimensional to earn $55 million... the funny thing is that he couldn't get $55 million last year and now the economy is much worse and he got what he wanted. Strange world we live in.

You guys may disagree (you obviously do), but Skiles is the coach for a reason. From a fantasy prospective, he's THE WORST. I waited every day for them to announce Sessions to take over the starting PG job, for CV to log consistent minutes, etc. etc. So let me make it clear that defending Skiles makes me want to puke in my mouth because he sucks as a coach. The truth is, CV is a defensive liability. So is Ben Gordon. For a team that relies so much on defense like the Detroit Pistons, it doesn't make a lot of sense to sign these two guys although their team is completely different now without their old school guys.
