@Varanice: Nice scores! You've probably already passed me in 4k skills. I couldn't reproduce any of those on first try.

I'm slowly getting better. Didn't expect to have decent scores after 1/2 weeks like the following:

They're not my highest on these maps, but within 2%. Currently, around roughly 15% of my plays are best ever (afaik), which is good enough to foresee good improvement.
ATM still have many stamina issues. As soon as things get more intense, (like hard, intense or fast) I can only hold out one song before my hands/muscles start getting seriously tired.
On the other hand, I can read a little bit faster than before, already successfully adjusting AR upward to 26.

You at least made me read a bit on this, since I had no clue what you were saying. Now I do (although very little).

Lots of misinformation unfortunately and hard to dig out what's legit and what isn't if you're not an expert since there are plenty of people that kinda have some ideas about what they're doing but don't really understand it and yet give advice anyway. This CPU gen in particular has had some of us enthusiasts bashing our heads daily at the dumb things that people are doing with their settings

I do trust the guy. Of my friends he's the closest to what you would call an enthusiast, even though there's no way to compare. That said, from my perspective, the risk averse approach is the right one here. You can bet I'll take your constraint/warning seriously.

Lol, I'm still so much worse. What is your 'usual'? 94ish?

These quick LNs always have been my weak point, just can't read them at all. (to my defense, it was first try)

I mostly play 4k stuff in 4* - 4.7*ish range right now. Im not generally a big fan of LN/SV heavy maps.

I almost threw my headphones across the room when I opened osu! and heard this:

Slowly getting there. Part of my stamina problems is that I can read much better, so I demand more from my hands. So I get better scores at easy maps, while not able to finish most 5+star maps.

Also disconnected my external hard drive to get everything to my new pc (good gracious, what a difference), and now I have 1k mania maps extra. I knew Osu! was deleting them.

All right, update.

Two maps, LN centered:

I can't remember if I ever had an A on the first one yet. Low star value, but imo slightly underrated.
The second isn't quite as good as Bobbias' 16 miss run, but still decent. Although my play is still very rough on this map, I can read better, and that's still something.

More elaborate update:
No more stamina issues; meaning no more 'overload' pain, which is good.
Interesting observation; like I said in an earlier post, I noticed my speed hadn't significantly dropped since I stopped playing. At the same time reading didn't seem to be the problem, while still having worse scores than I used to at harder maps, even at maps where stamina doesn't seem to matter much. My conclusion was that finger flexibility had decreased; to move fingers independently from eachother.
So I started training that by making my own maps training a specific pattern, First interesting observation is that flexibility is not bad, it's horrible, atrocious. I started out with one pattern: index finger and ring finger on-beat and middle finger off-beat with both hands, for around 1.5 minutes straight (not a stream, twice as slow). Starting at 200 bpm, I thought that'd be doable. But I needed to go down to 150bpm before i got an A at the first try (with the same concept), the rest was simply not doable at all. Conclusion: even though I thought I was a decent player, I severely lack basics. Interesting to see was that I tended to cramp a lot after a while. In order to perform, I strain my hands, which is a big no-go imo.
Second interesting thing relates to the former. After practising these kind of maps for a few times, I noticed I became much more calm and less strained while playing. Flexibility increased, that's one, but also it gave me more clarity of mind while playing. I could actually analyse what was happening even at like 5+ star maps, resulting in massive reading improvement.

So overall very positive.

Oh, and what also helps is that I have my annual leave right now, but due to corona, can't really do a lot, so I've been playing pretty much every day. (muscles a bit sore even, lol)

Sorry, didn't see you post. Congratz; I don't really play standard anymore, so hard to judge, but seems to be your second pp play. Nice one!

The 1357/26 pattern you were practicing is a bracket, and are considered one of the hardest kind of patterns to get good at. BMS converts make use of brackets quite a bit, so they are a good way to practice those sort of patterns. I've been extensively practicing on bracket heavy BMS converts as part of my derusting efforts because I recognize how effective they are as practice maps.

I'm kinda all over the place right now. Some days are good, some quite bad. I got a bit of PP on a map that I only got a score on recently today (improved an A to an S):

Bad first song, bad but better than ever 2nd song. decent to good 3rd. I was so nervous at the 4th that I made a lot of silly mistakes. Still, never got this result, so really happy.

@Bobbias:
Of the three songs listed, the first one seemed reasonably doable (93% first try), but the other two are really intense, very nice!

I didnt know brackets where that infamous patterns. Right now I've found 3 patterns at which I'm really bad; the mentioned brackets, an awkward stream and one to move left and right hand semi-independently.

Btw, I swear I got a 89.8% score on the Genryu Kaiko map, but it seems to have disappeared. Needless to say I was quite happy with that one as well.

Nice getting your form back, bobbias! Damn good scores.

Practice report:
Noticably faster and better at reading. Tried the Aragami and Helblinde maps Bobbias posted earlier again, and they're still too fast, but better manageable, at least I could finish them; without a notable score.

LN muscle memory is getting better, especially in terms of timing.

For some reason, the type of davteezy maps like the first one always give me more trouble than I would expect. That's why Im quite happy with the S.

Not sure if I got the MAX Love one before, still feels good to know that I can randomly press buttons well enough for a pass on a HP9 17va map. (I checked if I would've passed it, same for the other map)

Edit:
Decided to play some ranked maps online. Improved my score on Double Helix:

So I'm now convinced that I'm as good as or maybe even better than at my (previous) peak.
Also increased pp by 100+. The stupid penoreri maps aren't my top scores anymore, yay. Top is now at 256, so no 300+ yet for me..

Only thing keeping me from an A is the fucking slowjam I think. Jakads is really good at making patterns I suck ass at though. And the SVs don't help.

This map feels so underrated in SR. These patterns are really hard for me to read for some reason, and harder to actually hit. It's super hit or miss, either I actually manage to do kinda ok, or the map absolutely ruins me.

Can't say anything about the other two (dont have the maps), but Love & Justice seems indeed underrated. From a first glance it has super awkward patterns. Getting near a A is insane.
