We safely got our loot out of FA space but couldn't get Karah out. That left me no choice but to go back and get him out, no man left behind etc... Fortunately Nou had logged out in the area in a ranis the night before but unfortunately they were gatecamping Karah with three dramiels, a stiletto, two rifters, a broadsword, a huginn, a phantasm and a drake. Just to clarify, that's what they put on a gate to try and trap a single drake that hadn't shown any intention of leaving the system. I got nearby and we waited to see if they'd get bored but unfortunately they just kept adding more people. Eventually Karah and I got impatient and came up with the plan we would use, namely warping me to 0 onto their entire gang. I landed on the gate and Nou and Karah got 50k off on the other side. They all yellow boxed me but only a dram and a rifter redboxed me so we still had to deal with most of their fleet when I jumped through. Links were up on the other side but Karah was still in his limping drake from earlier with no drones so the drams were gonna be a bit of an issue. This was compounded when one decloaked 7k from me and promptly scrammed me. Seconds later the huginn web went on and I was beginning to regret this plan. However my dishonour drones got a cycle on the dram and my mwd burst into life while Nou pounced on it and cn scourge hit it for EFT damage. Headshot, next target please. I called the huginn primary but suddenly noticed I'd burned out of its web range somehow. Nou charged down another dram and once the scram web went on I was only too happy to back him up with some scourge. After that he had to warp out while Karah and I dropped a rifter. I got the broadsword isolated from the rest of the pack but then found out the reason was that they were killing Karah who had been scrammed by a third dram. Apparently he called it, my bad. However Nou reappeared, scram web went on and cn scourge instapopped a third dram. Unfortunately the field now showed a drake, huginn, phantasm, stiletto and rifter on Karah and I prepared to write him off and focus on my broadsword concerns. However the huginn charged into Karah's web range (!?!??!) so he dropped it like a boss while Nou and I gtfoed. They held the field and were therefore able to besiege any POS we may have had on the gate.

Fortunately for us, the scimmies never appeared though, guess they were just posed.

Tofu, if you're reading this the market has done something weird and I need a hakeri -> Jita courier done instantly. I stand to make about 2b buying low and selling high and it isn't a margin scam etc, just a spike that I am perfectly positioned to hit. Edit: Taken care of

Hit it with seconds to spare. Profit was significantly over a bil. Massive thanks to motbob and Pufftrees for couriering and hopefully this is just the beginning of the payout for this. We were sufficiently involved in the market to pick up on the spike before it really got rolling, should pay out nicely.

Hi everyone,
I have a history with getting addicted to computer games and investing too much time. This started with playing UT competitivly in a clan with practice hours etc. back in the days. Later I had a top 80 ranked char on Maple Story Broa server. And half a year ago I ditched Mafia Wars because I was starting to plan my weekends around their promo events O_o.
You can guess why I always avoided playing WoW.
I kinda avoided EVE for the same reasons but this thread makes me want to play it hehe.
{TL;DR} So before I waste anyones time I have a quick question for the TL EVE Corp. members: how many hours daily/weekly do I need to spend in the game to be of any value for the Corporation in the long run?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

As much or as little as you want. Self control is all you need for this (and something I lack :/)
Your skills continue learning when you are logged off and there are no real 'grinds' that you have to do, except possibly for money. And if you want you can even use real money to buy ingame isk legally if you prefer to do that so nothing really limits you.
edit: oh wat I'm a mutalisk now!

Hey bud. My experience with EvE is that it is a very polarizing game. Everyone that joins hatch or new players either realize the game isn't for them, or have their lives lost in the epicness of a sandbox space mmo. I literally can't think of anyone who joined and just found it a fun game they play sometimes. Either you don't really get it, or you fall in too hard.. so careful!
Also, happy to take care of that courier for ya kwark, hopefully its just the beginning of a large money making venture

But I am not in the hatch so that might have affected me. Playing like one hour/day or so now

We warped to the planet the station was on with two drake, huginn, harb and rifter and then warped the rifter to the station at 0, landing on the muninns. It then attacked them and they returned fire. We promptly warped in at 30 and heated one down while rupture, scimmy, loki, phantasm undocked. A second warped off but a third unrelated muninn warped in 20k off the station. Webs went onto it and it became a fight between the scimmy and furies hitting a muninn mwding with three webs on it. Yeah... The rifter was still alive somehow and chilling with the station as they undocked two machariels and a mega navy. However I concluded that we'd done what we came to do and blueballed them, leaving the rifter to die. If Karah had been there I estimate we'd have killed everything.
Rifter lossmail: Pandemic Legion Capsule (Capsule) 720mm Howitzer Artillery II Damage done: 0 (0%) That pretty much sums it up.

First roam after 4 months of being away from the game. Things were a bit sluggish coming back but damn it felt good.
Killing ~ 600mil worth of shit for an 800k rifter....business as usual.
=D

This guy is "quitting eve" in jita so giving out his stuff. Yesterday people were freaking out with the items they were getting... someone supposedly got a Faction fitted Golem. Could be an alt I figure, whatever.
Today hes back, finishing up "giving out my shit". I bite, and ask for something. He sends Pufftrees Everday 3 imperial navy energized membranes (120m value).. NICE! He isn't giving out to people more then once, a guy right after me gets a CN invul.. damnit! SoooI decide to log onto Legit Trade Goods and ask for something.
Bam another contract.. this time is just a shit ton of shit. 3 canes, Ferox, stabber, manticore all fitted and about 100 or so tech 2 items. Woot woot!
edit: he just tossed Puff an external mobile lab (40m), free stuff is great

I got Vita Cenva to come to jita also, he made out like a bandit as well. Couple drakes, cane, Buzzard and a ton of fittings.

not that being a value to the corp is a bad thing, it's not, but first make sure you find something that you enjoy while you wait for the PvP. as a fairly new player, the hardest thing for me was to find something that was fun because in the back of my mind I knew that the really fun part about EvE is the PvP, so everything else seemed bland. But once you get past the 1st month, a lot of things open up and it just gets better. Good luck!
