Is the writer the guy who was in the thread and first proudly said that he did it and then kept on repeating in an offended tone, that he couldn't get banned for it because he didn't actually impersonate anybody from CCP, while people kept on telling him that fucking with the wiki is a very bad idea?
If I remember correctly there was another guy who was part of the scam as well, but he was much more humble in the thread and had probably realised by then that bad shit would follow.

Its like they have so little idea about how their game works that they're fucking up peoples ability to scam eachother on purpose. I doubt thats exactly what they want to do but they suck so hard its impossible for them to do even the most basic thing they want to do.

Person 1: I believed they were CCP endorsed based on what was written in the wiki.

One of the reasons Eve is great is because people who are smarter can find ways to siphon the isk out of the wallets of idiots. Eliminating a chunk of that is a fucking terrible thing for the game.

Not going that far, they could just forbid people messing with the wiki, without banning every form of impersonation, because that's hardly necessary, and pretty bad for honest scammers.

It's quite clear that all the violations of the EULA that were committed were already covered by the existing EULA and that the additional lines about impersonating anyone (i.e. not just CCP or CCP-affiliated groups) have no bearing on this particular scam.
These are the reasons they gave for the ban:
- Implying favouritism (section 1).
CCP Games or ISD does not vouch for the trustworthiness of any player.
- Impersonation (section 8).
You falsified the official "locked" stamp on the Evelopedia article you made, assuming the mantle of a CCP representative by doing so.
- Limiting the ability of other players to make use of the web site (section 16).
By eroding the trustworthiness of the Evelopedia as a whole and trust in the impartiality of CCP representatives.
These are CCP's interpretations of the violations made of the EULA. Unless I am missing something, they are pretty much all-encompassing wrt the questionable changes made to the wiki. I don't see how this scam requires that pretending to be Michael Harari or KwarK is banworthy.
The new text in the EULA makes stuff like the classic Goon scam of selling GSF membership banworthy. That's just plain old stupid. The new text broadens the horizons of banworthy actions far too much and seemingly has no relation to this scam, despite the title of the above article and the insinuations made therein.

Right now Minnie FW may not be looking too good, but I think they're going to make a come-back.
Biohazard. led them in taking over a lot of systems, and then decided that bumping up to T5 warzone control was a good idea. But they're not in the militia to make isk, they're in it for pvp, so suddenly, when Amarr controlled next to no systems, and people who wanted isk dropped corp/stopped pvping, their activity dropped a lot.
Now that the tier is down (even though the same number of systems are in Minmatar control), pvp is back, and they're on the move to take the entire warzone. They've got plexing/bashing fleets up in every major timezone. If they accomplish complete control of FW space, then a bump to T5 and after that, and then keeping it at T5 will be significantly easier for a while.
Basically, don't count out Minmatar FW for a while yet. Last night Amarr was scrambling to get a 10 man fleet together (2 of which were spies anyways), while Bio was able to keep 15+ on field consistently. I'm not sure if that's going to change in the near future.

Caldari fw is looking shit. Khan (the one good fc in calmil) is gone awol and whoevers left is either a bag of dicks (CCDM) or incompetent as fuck (calmil generally).
