I just read that the casters don't get to see the same admittedly wonderful new UI that the viewers do, that clearly shows all the ewar going between ships. Or rather, they see it on a delay. This in a large part would explain why they are often confused about things which are staring us right in the face.
I'm still optimistic considering that this is day 1 and 2 of the entire 2 or so months of competition. The commentators (and the cameraman, oh god the cameraman) only can improve from here.
edit: I'm pretty sure with a little social engineering we can easily get most of bbq's dream team on our coms to commentate with us. Also, Sard had actually agreed to stream his own commentary for TL's match, but he was stuck at his parents' and had no PC. He should be able to do this next week onwards.

Definitely target painters, for the synergy with their mighty missiles and probably the reason why the enemy frigs died that fast. Though since the Vigil gets a bonus to target painters, that should be no surprise.
they recently got a buff so would be cool to find a good tackle fit

of the commentators, kil2 is honestly the only one that has any real small gang pvp experience on TQ. Raivi is somewhat justifiable, as presumably he's been involved in some sort of successful PL internal setup testing. tl;dr -- what did you expect? dream commentator team -- some mix of: honorable samurai prometheus exenthal, tusker battallord suleiman, bitterking intigo, and our very own sergeant "they are truly awful" rl3 -- with cameos by fon revedhort and mercurial blood.
I didn't even mean anything like proper analytical commentary based on prior personal experience. Rather, simply getting things like ship names and their appropriate bonuses right would help it seem a lot more legitimate and professional.
Not to say it wouldn't be awesome to have some actual shoutcasters.

Gratz to TL on 50-0 victory, one of my favorite teams.
Taawuz, Nulli Secunda.

Well done, I wish you luck on the rest of the alliance tournament, I will definitely be watching and cheering.

First entirely premade character sold today after 73 days of training.
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=128371&find=unread
Total investment - 600m (1 Plex + Implants/Skillbooks/Clones) Transfer cost - 900m Sold for 3billion (probably could have gotten more but v0v)
Profit - 1.5b
Or approximately 19 million ISK per day for switching skills about once a week.
While successful, I think I can do better than this. And really the only thing that is stopping me from making a LOT of premade pilots is fear of saturation of a market (like hulk pilots) or missing the mark (like tengu pilots now that missions are more awful than before).

Are there any re-streams of the AT-X with better casters? If the casters are bad and see the same stream as the viewers there might be someone of the community that can do/does a better job

I would pay for this sort of quality

I thought this was quite interesting.
So, here's a story for you. I was browsing the bazaar one day when I notice this toon (http://eveboard.com/pilot/The_Supremacy) going cheap. I think it's a bargain so I pick it up for a reasonable price and log on to cruise around space like a boss. Then out of nowhere some guy called Selest Cayal contacts me and says he wants to be my friend. Everyone needs friends and I look up who he is and it turns out that he's actually in charge of Raiden. and wants to talk to me about running his campaigns. Naturally I was very flattered. Raiden. are renowned for their competence and here they were inviting me to FC their super fleet, I'm not sure why they picked me but I'm glad to have my potential appreciated. I've always felt that I'd be capable of running an alliance like Raiden. so it made me feel good deep inside to have the guy in charge of Raiden. telling me that he felt the same way. I told him I'd need some time to think it through because I wasn't all that active and he was very understanding about it. He told me he'd keep me informed about all his ideas and the developments with the campaign he was planning which I thought was really friendly and that if I wanted to get involved I only had to ask. However I wasn't sure if I was ready to take over the leadership of a major alliance quite yet, despite being pressured, as I had no experience at it and it seemed a lot of work. Still, it was an incredibly generous offer to make to a stranger and I was grateful for the trust they placed in me. For two weeks things settled down until one day I got a very attractive offer for the character (The Supremacy) so I agreed to sell it. After logging on to clear the assets I saw Mr Selest online and thought I'd have one last chat. We talked about his still open offer for me to take charge of Raiden. but I explained how I was burned out and not playing eve as much as I used to. I was tempted to take over the alliance but the offer for the character was very attractive and he'd already sent isk. Then Selest found the topic on the character bazaar in which The Supremacy was sold, something I'm sure he was aware of previously anyway. He asked me a number of vague questions and I explained that I was indeed selling the character. He then suggested that I put an alt into his corp in Raiden. which I felt was a very generous solution to the problem, allowing me to sell Supremacy while still staying in contact with my new friend Selest who was nothing but giving and trusting with me. I was therefore invited to join NEXE on this character and immediately given roles with only Selest knowing that I was, before I sold the character, the owner of The Supremacy. I hung out with him on teamspeak for a while talking about things such as "did your nation change?" and "did your voice change?" although he soon stopped asking such silly questions and returned to the giving of roles, passwords and intel. This was obviously appreciated and necessary if I was to be rapidly brought up to speed as the new leader of Raiden., an offer I was gradually warming to. He explained how he had finals and that he thought I would be more than capable (which I thought was odd given my lack of experience) but I didn't like to question it. We discussed our pending deployment to Delve, our broader plans and made small talk and I thought I was really making a friend in EVE, despite not having known him for very long. Anyway, I log on today and he's suddenly and inexplicably cold to me and no longer wants me to lead Raiden. I think this is bullshit because it was his idea in the first place, you can't invite a guy to take over your alliance and then after spending days talking him into it and inviting him into your alliance and giving him roles suddenly start treating him like he's a total stranger. I don't know why he's being so mean to me, I didn't approach him, he approached me. I was really looking forward to commanding the Raiden. super fleet but I don't think that's still on the cards. I know there are a lot of goon recruitment scam topics in here but I think what Raiden. did to me is way, way worse. Goons just take isk and then ignore guys but Selest acted like we were friends and he built up my hopes and he got me into the corp and gave me roles only to suddenly start ignoring me. That's way worse in my opinion, a real **** move. I didn't lose any assets or anything and in fact turned a 7b profit on the whole situation but that's not the point. They toyed with my emotions, I was okay just being a small time drake pilot but he came to me and when I was reluctant he talked me into it only to kick me out. I'm still in corp for now but my forum account (directors forum access) has been banned and my roles have been taken away and nobody is telling me why. TLDR: If the leader of Raiden. convos you out of the blue and offers to make you in charge of Raiden. you'll only get your heart broken, it's a scam.

Must be awesome to just be trading characters one day and then the leader of Raiden. the next. Too bad they fucked that guy (whoever Lustry Lottie's main is) over.
