Lol, I went to that game they had versus the texans, they lost all their magic, they couldn't score on our defense, was pretty sad really.

Because Kerry Collins threw 33 times and Chris Johnson had 13 carries. Seriously, Chris Johnson is the Titan's offense. More or less. I guess LenDale White wobbles a yard or two nto the endzone every now and then.

And then they put up 31 on Pittsburgh.

Perhaps some pent up resentment against the Chargers for knocking the Broncos out? God knows the Broncos would've been steamrolled by the NFL's MVP. ;] I didn't say it wasn't face masking, I said it didn't have any effect on the play, which it didn't. It, therefore, should not have been called at that point in the game. Penalties should not have that sort of impact on the outcome of the game. To whoever said I'm using the holding non-calls to justify that not being called: learn how to read. I said that it shouldn't have been called at that point in the game, because it had no effect on the outcome of that play. He had two guys taking him down two yards behind the line. He had no chance of going anywhere on that play, regardless of whether or not the face mask was touched, but the refs turned it into a 15 yard positive. That should not happen. And my point still stands that the officiating was biased, because there should never be 2-1 penalties against one team. It doesn't happen. And just to dispel the idea that it was because I'm bitter: my friend who hates the Colts agreed with what I'm saying. Yeah, they were definitely a fluke this year. They didn't make Pittsburgh look mediocre in the most important regular season game of the year. They didn't make Indy look bad in the first game (they didn't play their starters in the second for very long, if at all), and they didn't beat the Ravens earlier in the season, either. Oh, they also lost to Minnesota. No, wait, they beat Minnesota, and they did do that to all of those other teams. That's four playoff teams, and two of them were teams that people are STILL claiming are better than the Ravens. It doesn't matter how many yards he gained or lost, Facemask is still facemask. Titans are still a fluke team and we'll see them fluking it on Sunday

I'm going to repeat myself again: It was technically the correct call, but it should not have been made. It should not have been made because it had no effect on the play, and because it was overtime in a playoff game. Referees need to let the players play, especially in that situation.
Losing to the Ravens will not be a fluke, because the Ravens are a very good team.

good god, nothing would make me happier than the eagles beating the shit out of the giants next week the way our defense is rolling, anything is possible

colts need to work on their special teams. when they are blowing out people by 20 points, it doesn't matter as much, but the gashes of field position they gave up really hurt them. credit to chargers' punter though.

Not if that offense is so ineffective. They were playing a good defense, I'll give them that, but there is no reason that the Vikings were still in that game in the fourth quarter. The Eagles had so many opportunities to put that game away... it should have been 40-14. If I were an Eagles fan, I would not be too confident in the upcoming game.

Well I'm not even gonna talk about the facemask call anymore. Apparently we both have our views on whether it should have been called or not, and it's already done so it doesn't even matter, but on to the Titans case.....They are a fluke, and we'll just wait and see what happens on Saturday. the giants were pretty up and down at the end of the season, not like last season where they tore into the playoffs on a roll last week was a sucker game though, the eagles sucked me in again and i'm really hoping that they do well...i'm ready for the heart break. I'm gonna sit with 3 friends and drink while watching the game, and no matter the outcome, at least i'll be happy and drunk on my couch shootin the shit with good friends
either way, i'm still torn about mcnabb. i have never thought he was a good west coast quarterback, but he really doesn't have the weapons that he's needed throughout the years to be effective. i THINK i want him and andy reid back, but i'd just like for reid to learn better clock management (good luck) and to learn how to challenge calls that can actually be reversed

The Giants were only up and down because Brandon Jacobs was out. When Jacobs is in, they are the best team in the league.

No way!!! You should of lost to us twice this year if Hixon did not drop that 60+ yard bomb Eli threw too him. The Giants just have to many ways to beat teams. You want to stop the run? Eli will beat you with the pass. Take Eli away and the Running game? Guess what are defense wont let you score!! Is that bradshaw running a kickoff back for a TD? YES IT IS!! Giants are just a better team all around. Add in homefield and a healthy rested team. What do you get? A EAGLE TEAM WITH NO SHOT AT WINNING!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!
P.S- BTW the Giants were hardly on a roll going into the playoffs last year. They lost to the redskins, needed a huge comeback to beat the bills, and played well but still lost too the Pats. Losing 2 out of 3 can't really be a roll.
P.S.S- Eagles suck

how is beating the steelers for the #1 seed in the AFC a fluke???
btw, fuck the giants fuck the mets too
also, i thought the giants ended last season stronger than that. jesus.

After seeing my Colts get rolled by the Chargers again, I couldn't stop likening San Diego to some crappy one-matchup sniper like Casy. He/They won't win it all, but they can take down a contender like Jaedong before they get eliminated, just because they're good in one very specific matchup.

How is steamrolling the Steelers 31-14 (and being the only team to gain 300 yards on them) a fluke? And how is losing to one of the most feared defenses in the league (maybe ever?) a fluke?

That's exactly what they are. They're like the semi-pros that make it to the pro tournament (or, in BW terms, they're the foreigners to the Koreans in WCG). They don't really have a chance to win it all, but they'll take out some big time player before they're out (or, as in the WCG analogy, they beat a Korean in one match. I'm with you. I'm a Steelers fan, and I couldn't help but watch the Titan's game and think that they were an elite team. They RAN on the Steelers. I don't care who you are, that is impressive and very few teams do it, in fact the GIANTS didn't do it. [Jacobs ended the game with like 50 yards]. The Titans were stiff on Defense as well, and Collins dealt just fine with the pass rush.
I'm hoping that the Ravens beat the Titans in a close game, otherwise, I don't like how we match up. (I'm also hoping that the Steelers beat the Chargers).

Ben's head injury is going to hurt the offense. It almost never happens that a QB plays well right after a concussion. Still, I think they can exploit other things on the Chargers D, and their D should stop the Chargers offense pretty easily. The Chargers don't really have a standout player except the big three, and with one of those guys gone or pretty badly injured, they have to focus on less. I realize that Jackson has had an outstanding year, but he's still far from an elite WR, and Ike Taylor should have no problem covering him. Chambers isn't used in this offense. He has potential to be something more than what he is, but right now, he's good for about 2 catches and 40 yards a game. I really don't think that the Steelers are going to lose this game. I just can't see it happening.
Baltimore should have gotten awarded that second game vs the Steelers, because that was NOT a touch down. If I were in the NFL, I wouldn't want any part of that Ravens team, no matter who I was playing for. They're scary. And after what they did to the Dolphins offense (which, shutting them down is no big deal, but forcing five turnovers on a team that had 13 all year, that's impressive), I would not look forward to seeing them on the field. That said, I would look forward to playing their offense if I was an opposing defense. I think Flacco is crap, personally, and he looked like it last week. If they had been playing a better defense (like the Titans) it would have been a much closer game. It's probably going to be similar to week five or whenever they played the first time--very low scoring. If the same Ravens team shows up this weekend, they're going to lose. That offense needs to produce something against the Titans, if for no other reason than to keep the defense off the field. I don't care who the defense is, with the Titans running game, they will tire out if they're on the field for prolonged periods of time. And again, regardless of who the players are, a tired defense is a bad defense. The Ravens offense doesn't need to score a lot of points, they just need sustained drives. They can start at the twenty and end at the Titans' forty yard line; that would be fine, if it's not all one play that gets them there. They need 6+ plays on almost every drive if they want a chance at winning this game.
