Honestly, I think Brett Farve is smart enough to give his intel to a team better than the Lions. I mean, seriously, the Lions? I don't believe it.

Holy shit. The Broncos are so inconsistent.

If SD loses, you can pretty much guarantee that the Broncos will too. They can't get a bigger lead on SD to save their lives. Their defense is just too terrible to do anything this year. I don't know what needs to be done there; I can't even make a guess.

you forgot to make your picks this week

Could somebody please just shoot Wade Phillips?
The man is not fit to be a head coach. He's a great assistant, nothing more, nothing less. He had his shot at the head table during his tenure at Buffalo and basically squandered it by his inept mismanagement of the QB controversy involving Flutie and Johnson (yeah, the guy billed as the "future" of the franchise who no one remembers now) - which he started and continued to fuel throughout the course of two destructive seasons before Flutie was forced to leave. That Buffalo team had some serious playoff mojo going, but never really realized it's true potential thanks to the shenanigans of good 'ol Wade.
When he resurfaced as the Cowboys head coach, I saw history repeating itself - with all the talent pool and potential in the world, the man would find some way of mismanaging the players (no one doubts his capabilities to manage a game) and self-destructing.
Bingo.
This Cowboys team will not amount to much as long as Phillips remains at the helm.

Let's be fair, though. Tony Romo is out, Felix Jones is out, Adam Jones is gone (probably forever now), Terrance Newman is out, Roy L. Williams is out for the season, the other starting CB is hurt (I think his last name is Henry), Tank Johnson is hurt, Marcus Spears is hurt... There are so many major injuries to that team right now, I don't know if any coach could make it work. Even their second string guys are hurt right now. The biggest thing is that Romo is out, and Johnson had not played in over a year before Sunday (as a starter at least). Then Romo possibly playing took snaps away from Brad in practice... Team Obliterator has resurfaced (and he's done that to top notch head coaches too), Pacman is being a retard and still getting into trouble.
The guy has so much shit to contend with it's no surprise that the Cowboys are doing poorly these past couple of weeks. TO is unmanageable by almost all standards. He's a total douche bag. Even when 19 plays go his way, he finds a way to bitch about not seeing enough action. What is Romo supposed to do, throw his way 30 times even though he keeps dropping easy passes? And what is Wade supposed to do about that? I guess he could suspend him, but that hurts the team as much as it helps them, considering they don't have a WR with equal talent (who has been in the system long enough) to step in and take over for him.
I do agree that Wade is a bad coach, and that not much will happen, but I don't think that this is a good year to judge him. There's just too much to deal with right now, injury-wise to put too much blame on him. And TO is a cancer. He went into remission for a while, but it's full blown again. He single-handedly destroyed a franchise for a couple of years.
Seriously, though, how the fuck do you pull a guy who got you to the playoffs for someone who hasn't really played all season? How fucking stupid can a guy possibly be? That was unheard of; the idiocy involved in a move like that is just beyond comprehension.

nolan got fired http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3654528 can't say i'm surprised, what i am surprised by is that they didn't hire mike martz as the head coach surprising yes, but also i think it's a good idea to promote singletary instead of martz
|
Besides PWilly, Nolan's firing was the best thing to happen to my Niners in the last four years. He was a horrible coach.
Singletary will be a lot better I think, but I don't necessarily think he'll lead us anywhere this year (or next) if we keep him. We're so thin on talent right now and anyone that we do have is likely to leave via FA. I sure as fuck wouldn't wanna be on that hole of a team.
|
huzzah!
I'm glad they chose Singletary as HC; there is no way I want Martz to be HC. He doesn't fit the 3-4.

I think Singletary will make a good HC down the line. This year, and probably next, may as well be thrown out the window though.

yarly no way is that team going anywhere within the next 3-4 years with that roster as it is

Go Bengals!
The most consistent team in the NFL!

It's never a good sign for a team when they fire their coach halfway through the season ><;;

Deuce is on juice. 10 players in the NFL (including the Saints runningback) have been found in violation of the drug policy. Is it on the NFL website? No. Is he being suspended for a meger 4 games, yes.

honestly i hope the lions go 0-16
im tired of the same losing seasons, seriosuly, going 3-13 and 2-14 is nothing new, its just a waste of a season.
make it memorable at least, do your job and go 0-16 dammit.

heh, and he hasn't been doing all that well even though he's on roids a shame

I hope the lions use the rest of their games to test stanton and ovlosky to see if they will be useful. If not then they can draft a QB if need be, if not they need some Linemen pretty badly.
