Hmm, really? I don't see much to hate about the Seahawks. They're a fundamentally sound team with some great defense playing in a weak division. I fully expect them to make the playoffs yet again.
Now the other bird teams though (Ravens, Falcons) are in for another long year.

The fuck are you talking about? They have hardly been mentioned until now. Two people picked them to win, two picked them to lose. And I listed them as one of the good teams that the Patriots play.
Do you even read threads before responding?
If the Ravens running game comes back to life, and the passing defense is anything beyond what it was last year, they could surprise some teams, I think. Their defense, when healthy, is still one of the best in the league. The problem is that all their players are like 900 years old. I could see them taking second in the division, and possible sneaking into the playoffs. We aren't that many years removed from their franchise best 13-3 season. I haven't looked at their schedule, but I could see them, potentially, as a 9 or 10 win team.

Ok, just a small note on the sports writers:
Do you guys remember back to when the Titans picked Chris Johnson early? I seem to remember only talk about how they "wasted" a pick that early. Now they are plugging him in as the AFC rookie of the year preseason pick? Is my memory just flawed?

I feel that while they are still a solid unit, they are no longer the same lockdown unit they were 3-7 seasons ago. They used to be feared as the best defense in the league, but like you said age caught up to them and I think they haven't done much to fix this. Not only this, but they still have a bad offense.

Well, who is that much better on defense than them?
You have the Patriots, Chargers, Steelers, Vikings, Colts, and then who? Cowboys maybe? Jacksonville and Tampa Bay, perhaps. That still puts the Ravens at the 9th best, which almost puts them in the top 25% of defenses in the league. I didn't mean that they were a top 3, but top ten with a chance to crack the top 7 or so.
I think this is the NFL topic getting the most attention, so I'll ask this here. Where can I go to get fantasy questions answered, like which players to start during a given week? BTW: If anyone wants to give me advice I'm wondering which receivers/HB to start. I have Boldin, Chambers, Andre Johnson, Joey Galloway, and Anthony Gonzalez (Indy). I'm between Matt Forte and Earnest Graham for the start at my second HB position (the first went to Portis, who had a disappointing 8 points. I can only hope that LT gets off to a slow start again this year, as I face him this week).

If it weren't for Washington's fucking terrible offense racking up 510985098124 penalties, Portis probably woulda surpassed the century mark. I have him in one of my leagues as well, but it's no problem for me, as I've already forfeited this week with my two WRs suspended.

After seeing the first two drives of the Giants, and the early-game play of Eli, I thought we were in for something really special from this team. Then, I'm not entirely sure what happened to them. They lost whatever magic they had as an offense.
Eli is apparently still Eli (making poor decisions, and sometimes having bad mechanics), and the Giants D is a bit better than I thought it would be.

they did look solid, but I want to see them against a potent offense before I give the Giants' defense the thumbs up i really think the eagles could do pretty well this season, hopefully i get the games broadcast up here

hahaha, i split my sharkys wing sauce all over when that happened =p
The Giants offense looked like shit yesterday, minus Jacobs. Their defense was looking really good though (but at the same time, Cambell looked really bad)

sweetlemons two people voting against them to win was what I counted as "hating." Seeing as how there is no clear definition for that I am well and fine to say as much. You on the other hand got all faggoty real quick. Do you ever calm the fuck down before being a fucking douche? That was a rhetorical question btw, I know you're a god damn asshole.

That was an extremely calm response.

Man, their defense is looking awful. Their offense might be moderately productive this year (Orton looks like he's made some improvements in his game over the last two years, but he still can't hit fades, or flats, or really anything outside the numbers), but the defense looks like it's going to be absolute shit. Tommie Harris is already getting banged up, and Mike Brown will only last for a few games if they're lucky. I'm predicting a 5-11, at best, record for them. I think it's better off that way, though, because maybe they'll get rid of the coaching staff.

My response was calm. The only thing that was somewhat uncalm was asking if you read threads completely. I could just as easily call you a prick for calling everyone in the thread Seahawks haters with absolutely no explanation to it. Instead, I asked what you were talking about. "The fuck you talking about?" is not an angry or aggressive statement. It's just a statement. You're the one who needs to calm down, and not be a douche.

Jason Campbell should not be the starter in week 2. He can't take his eyes off the guy he's throwing the ball to. On at least two separate occasions Chris Cooley was wide open (on the first pass attempt he had Cooley with about five yards separation in the flat, and on another he stared down the HB coming out of the backfield and had the ball tipped while Cooley was wide open over the middle). If I can see that as it's happening on TV, there's no reason a professional QB can't. The instant he looked to one side of the field, you knew where the ball was going. Todd Collins should start for them if they want a chance at winning; it's undeniably clear that Campbell is not ready to start for the Redskins.
Eli looked solid on his first 10 pass attempts, but after that it was the same old stuff. Bad decisions, poor mechanics, etc.

I'm perfectly calm rofl. I just think you were being a faggot so I used words to describe that. I don't give a rats ass if you were calm or enraged when you typed what you said.. doesn't really fucking matter. You were being a dumbass cause I didn't explain myself enough for you. Yet you were the only person who took it that way.

Looks to me like you do care.
And that's not how I took your response, and that's why I didn't get angry. I asked for clarification of what you meant. Then you went and got all offended by it.

Just wondering, what privilidged members here do get a calm response from you, haha
Anyway, going back to what started your rant, I can't see any team usurping the hawks as king of that shit division.
My niners suck (but I still very secretly am waiting for a big surprise from O'Sullivan) Arizona still has their always shaky line and are currently banking on an often injured and generally inconsistant, old qb. His backup hasn't lived up to the hype at all. Plus, they're Arizona—even if they haven't killed their hopes by Dec., they'll find a way. The Rams have nothing outside of Holt-Bulger-Jackson, and will battle for the cellar spot with the Niners.
It's pretty sad how bad that division has become.
