If anyone wants some insight into high level dota/hon , I recommend Ehome/DTS/LGD replays from dota, that's the top in terms of teamwork/skill, although some heroes don't transfer over and there is a slight difference in metagame (hon teams are lower skilled compared to chinese) almost all the concepts in terms of how to play the heroes transfer over. if you want some insight into high level dota you watch high level dota and if you want insight into high level hon you watch high level hon. | ||

Yeah basically, in terms of actual game strategy, roles etc and most game dynamics it's pretty similar between dota/hon. If anything the dota teams are much smarter strategically in a lot of ways (more competition, more tournaments, more teams, and asia dota popularity in particular). For instance EG wildsoul vs Dota Syllabears, EG used it completely wrong, and in a trilane to boot. well in general there is also a lot more high level dota (more reps, more styles, more teams), plus the top dota teams are way more dedicated (chinese pros etc). I mean MSI is kind of up there but not quite. I would say that you could learn a lot more from SMM 2010 than any recent HoN tournament. | ||

WHAT? TESTIES A MAPHACKER? oh my god... all my hopes and dreams im so disappointed, testie is the hon player i aspired to be and now i found out hes a maphacker. i feel so betrayed i was even thinking about paying him to raise my psr | ||

You're streaming a 1500ish game and telling it to people who mostly are 1700+ (quite number of us are 1800/1900+ and testie's 2k+). It's not that we want to be harsh, but the games you are playing in you could go 20-0 with almost any hero because most people are just not that strong of a player. You can stream you games, no ones stopping you, but when you brag to people who have way more psr than you they kind of will just cast you off to the side because you're being arrogant. | ||
