As far as learning the game goes, if you're completely new, reading some general guides on the HoN website would be a good starting place. Once you've understood the basic mechanics, make sure you try to apply them in game. For learning heroes, I found (as someone who had almost no dota background) the best method was to quickly read a guide to understand the basic skill build, itemization and hero role, and then play 2-3 consecutive games with said hero. As you improve, you will begin to realize guides only offer a starting point, and you will be able to switch up your skill/item builds based on your understanding of the game. | ||
