Guys why are you buying SEs just to mod them? HRAPs cost the same (AFAIK) and are just about as easy to mod, AND they already come with Sanwa sticks and non-crappy pcbs.

fishball. i don't get that thing about nintendo and sony Dpads registering 32 directions. If you split them open you will see that they only have contacts for FOUR directions. And besides, fighting games only take four: Up, down, left, and right.

I really like your idea of using a chess board case. Too bad you didn't include photos of the entire process. Would had enjoy seeing what you did.

I'm sooo hyped for this game. I've become a decent SF3 3rd Strike player in the last few months and I preordered sf4. Sadly, I cannot afford a decent arcade stick right now and I don't feel like buying one of those madkatz controllers. I'll probably save some money for a stick. I'll be using the XBox version, if anyone wants to play then pm me 
Have you guys decided on any character already? Based on my sf2 experience and the videos on youtube so far, I'll try out Guile.
I'll really miss parry btw, no beast unleashed anymore

The SE I got works fine, even with the crap parts. Only complaint I have is the square gate ><. But I'm modding it anyways, and plan on picking up a TE when available.

I stole the idea from Bafiaris13 on srk. It's really simple: Just cut holes into the chessboard case, mount your stick, put art, mount the buttons, wire them, and you're done. I used a Seimitsu LS32 because I couldn't fit a Sanwa at the proper height. Works REALLY well for wireless xbox sticks cause they're easy to open when I have to replace the batteries.

Once it grinds even one of the traces out, you won't be able to play on that stick at all. It probably sounds like I'm hating, but I wouldn't want to see anyone buy a faulty product.

I'm playing it, so it must be out.
Dan's super and ultra are decent, and his normals are pretty good. His tatsus and shoryus are pretty good too (about as good as ryu/ken's since theirs aren't invincible anymore unless EX). Nowhere as crappy as he was in SFA2.

i have a modded xarcade stick for xbox360, i saw people talking about modding sticks for 360s and the following forum post was INSTRUMENTAL in my creation.

also keep in mind that the left and right triggers are not required to play sf4 as it lets you use the bumper buttons. the only thing the triggers are for that i've found so far are changing your face in multiplayer mode,

I'm fully aware of this. I got the SE just so I have something to play on until a new wave of TE's come in. and like I said, I'm modding it with a sanwa stick and buttons + octagonal restrictor once they come in. =)
