diablo 2 hardcore crack?

if i recall correctly, you have to beat the game on normal difficulty to obtain access to creating hardcore characters, i don't wanna go thru all of that, is there a program to allow me to make a hardcore character straight up?

I don't think you can crack it because your shit is contained on blizzards servers. I could be wrong though.

i'm 99% sure that if you beat it in single player, it applies too to bnet. There's a regkey you can download to say you have already beaten the game on normal (though you can edit it yourself).

ah ok i found it it works
Open the following key;

"HKey_Current_User/Software/Blizzard Entertainment/Diablo II"

Click on "Edit" "Add Value"

type the ValueName: "AllowHardcore"

select "Reg_DWord" as the type

set the Data to "1" and pick "Decimal"

click 'OK' and restart D2

very e-z to do and suddenly the hardcore option box pops up when u create character ^^

what's better about hardcore than softcore?
as far as i've heard they die = you lose everything?

the character is gone when you die
other people in the game may loot your equipment (only what you are actually "wearing", so no charms or what is in your stash) if you allowed them to (you have to do this before you die).

and what's better is that it takes a little more skill. well, not exactly more skill, since even d2 hardcore mode is easy, you just have to be a little more careful. but once you've played hardcore mode a while and got a bit of equipment it almost feels like softcore, at least it did to me when I still played.

Carnac pretty much said it, except there are a few items and I think a runeword or two that can only be made in hardcore ladder. It's supposed to be funner / harder but once you get decent gear it's exactly like softcore. Also, you have to watch out for high levels that come into games and try to kill you.

Most playerkillers are really stupid tho, I wasn't pked once and I soloed in public games all the time

PKing has advanced a lot since you played, Carnac. There are now TPpk'ing, meaning that people have a program that, when they hit a hotkey or whatever, automatically makes a portal, clicks on it, and hostiles everyone (from town now). So basically in like a tenth of a second a person is beside you in your party and then is hostile. How this works is that the person spams guided arrow, frozen orb, tornado, etc, and then does the tp-hostile bit, and if you are anywhere near those guided arrows etc they immediately target you or frozen orbs start damaging you etc and you instantly die. It's very hard to deal with now, and very easy to pk. Most high levels don't play public because of it.

How do you want to know when I played?

I said I soloed in public games, not that I partied in public games.
Well, at least I soloed my high level chars in public games.
Up to level 4x or something a friend of mine and me also partied in public games though when we were playing new characters (after we stopped shutteling, because it got too boring).
Just be careful about partying higher level chars (especially things like lvl 7x or 8x sorcs running around in normal, lol) and you'll be fine.
I had 3 lvl 99 chars (and only one of them gained most of it in cows) and several other 9x chars, so I have my fair share of HC experience.

I wouldnt want to come across someone geeky enough to pk in hardcore all day. I mean wtf?

you need to get an account from a buddy who finished it already by himself and can play hardcore

log in with his account, enter a game
leave bnet
log in with your account and voila, you can play hardcore

i also dont think that PK'ing is a big problem if u watch out for yourself, i had about 5 90+ heroes with decent items

imo softcore is very boring, playing hardcore was the only thing that made me play d2 lod for several months
