a redditor put together some #s regarding Armour MODs' effectiveness. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/9ypkgr/armor_mod_math/ it looks like it is mostly accurate, but not 100%. MODs are one unique aspect an armour piece can possess. Perks also add uniqueness to an armour piece. Datto did a nice video on that subject. + Show Spoiler + as stale as Armour can be... Bungie has done a nice job drawing blood from a stone and making Armour pretty interesting. Bungie keeps misspelling Armour though. Didn't follow this at all This January I'm teaching a half credit college course called : "Destiny 2 Purchasing Options 201" its the pre-requisite for the 3rd year course called "Advanced Techniques in Destiny 2 Purchasing Options" 1 year of linear algebra and multi-variable calculus is required to enroll. a co-requisite in applied combinatorics is recommended but not required. | ||

PvE You can completely enjoy 95% of the game without owning/playing the December 4th DLC called Black Armory. The Weapons and Armor you can get from the base game are totally appropriate for all the P v E activities before the December 4th DLC. Bungie will add some small PvE activities/story on December 4. You won't be able to play that stuff. PvP if you do not own Black Armory on December 4th ... You will have access to Weapons and Armor that are 95% to 98% as good as the weapons on Armor of THE VERY BEST PLAYERS WHO REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING in PvP. On November 22, 2018 the Dreaming City Armor set called "Reverie" is the best Armor set in the game. It is only 5% better than earlier Armor sets in previous releases of the game. If you are an extremely hard core PvP player or PvE player you will want to have this Armor set. I suspect "Black Armory" will offer a new set of weapons and armor that are somewhere between 2% and 10% better than anything that has come before it. | ||

No. You still will be playing the very same end game content as everyone with Black Armory, they just get to play a bit more stuff. You can absolutely just play Forsaken itself first as it will take you a while to get to the level for the new content anyway. | ||

https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47452 they also created a unique, interesting weapon earnable only through PvP. This weapon is called "The Mountaintop". You can begin the journey of earning these new weapons November 27th when the new season begins. That is, Season 5 or "Season Of The Forge". | ||

 I bought the standard destiny 2 forsaken package for 30 bucks. Pretty happy so far, doing Gambits and the Osiris quest line. Will see if I upgrade to Black Armory next week or not, haven't decided yet ^^ | ||
