CP 250 pidgey could be somewhere between level 15-20. Yeah it's based on species + lvl. That's why low CP but high level unevolved pidgeys and stuff are kinda hard to catch, and why when you are approaching lvl 20 you start having troubles catching these "shit" pokemons.

It's too troublesome to do all the time :p the developer suggested it did. i dont really see the problem with pokemon fleeing. i only use regular pokeballs on shit-tier pokemon, and i have caught 586/718 pidgeys, give or take since i dont catch everything i see. that is 79%, and the flee rate is 20%. i am level 28 and regularly see 300/400 cp pidgeys, and still throw regular balls. i imagine my catch rate would improve if i used great/ultra balls on the higher cp pidgeys, but just dont care enough.

I also don't bother to use great balls or it'd be higher.

I always throw curveballs unless the pokemon is far back though. It's not hard when you get used to it, at least it's not since they fixed the physics on it. Though none of that tracks the # of balls spent per pokemon which would be a better indication of catch success if pokeballs are a limiting factor.

I'm at like 50-75% on the three starters. I live pretty much on top of a Bulbasaur nest and those smug little shits break out and flee like half the time.

30/35 char -- 86% 72/81 squirts - 89% 36/44 pikas - 82% i almost always use an ultra ball and raspberry on starters though. even low level ones. pikas are especially angry. the flee rate for all four is 10%.

That's the idea. The problem is not much that they flee, but that I can sometime spend 6-10 balls on a low CP common pokémon to catch it. I went down town yesterday evening and my bag is full now. I'll see how long it last.

Berry + biggest ball every single time ![]() That's hard to believe. You must be extremely unlucky lol. Abra's have a fairly high catch rate, probably to compensate for the fact that they instantly flee. I'm 14/15 myself, always Razz + ultra ball
