B R T Kappa R Kreygasm L G B PogChamp Y S some Euro people (Pontus and some others I don't remember lolz) and I were going nuts in the Super Nebs stream chat about you sitting behind the players :^) edit: my picks http://smash.gg/fantasyapex/d3f14a9f tbh I don't think any salty suite matches will be close except axe vs silent wolf @Fazers, aMSa is clearly way better than the rest of the players, though FullMetal is decent and Wind is not bad. Some pools are seeded kind of funny. (New England and Tri-State players are seeded very high.) My thoughts on "interesting pools" where upsets could happen: A2: This is a death pool: Kuja (Falcon, Sweden), Spood Beest (Young Link, DE), Minty (Samus, NY), Smokey (Fox, NY), Elliot (Peach, FL; Hbox's original training partner), and Mr. Lemon (Doc, MA) are all really good. On the other hand, I think Wobbles and Qerb (G&W, NJ) should advance from this pool no problem. A3: PSI (Luigi, MA) could beat Phish-it (DK; Peach; Ganon, NY) A5: Kage isn't going (see twitter), so it's up in the air. Hopefully Clue (Sheik, MA) can make it out  A7: Twitch (Fox, NC), aka PPMD's brother, over Animal (Fox, NY), #1 in Long Island, is possible! Or one of them could beat Android :O PP's brother vs Armada's brother in one pool is lulz, B1: Drephen (Sheik, OH) over Vish (Falcon, WA) isn't impossible. B2: UltimaScout and Rula are really good, but... PP + HMW? ouch. B4: Taki (Fox, PA) over Tian (Sheik, CT). Sorry Tian  B6: Mittens, aka FalseFalco from CA, is really good. He could beat one of Porkchops (Falco, FL) or CIZ (Marth, NJ); I could conceivably see them making it out in any order. B8: One of Thelake (Zelda, PA), tm (Ganon, OH) or JKJ (Falco, NY) can beat Merck (Fox/Falco, DE). B9: Upke (Zelda, NC) over ROFL (Luigi, CA)???? One can hope. B10: Hot_Bid... gl. I think I'd take Kou (Falco, Japan) over T.Webb (Fox, NY) though. B11: Abadango, who's mainly a Brawl pro, might not make it out here. I hope Knut (Samus, NY), who's probably the 6th best USA Samus, can make it out here. B13: MattDotZeb (Falco, MA) over Mouf (DK/Peach/Falco, TX)n B14: Velocity (Doc, PA) or Kaeon (Fox, NC) have a good chance to upset the top seeds Loki (Ganon, Japan) and Zofrea (Sheik, NJ) B16: Another death pool. Dudutsai (Jigglypuff, MA) has taken out some big names at EVO and MLG, so he could definitely make it out over Dekar (Marth, Australia) and Peki (Fox, Finland). Sweet (Sheik, OH), Captain Smuckers (Falco/Falcon, NY) and Imyt (Doc, CA) are no slouches either. C5: Assuming Melee Hell | Kokiri = Laijin (Young Link, MD),... ok no upsets. C6: Green Ranger (DK, NY; why does it say CA?) has a good chance of upsetting Juggleguy (Falcon, MI) or Stricnyn3 (Falco, NJ). C9: Fiya (Fox, NY) or BluEG (Luigi, FL) could give Bones (Falco, MD) and even Toph (Fox, CA) runs for their money. C10: $mike (Falcon, NC) vs Arc (Marth, TX) will be close. I hope it's streamed C12: NamiNami (Falco, Finland) was wrecking Leffen in friendlies on stream before BEAST V... so he could take out PGH Carroll (Fox, PA). Also, watch out for Cheezpuff (Puff, NY). C14: Codi (Fox, NY) vs uuaa (Fox, FL) should be close. C15: Sora (Marth, MA) vs Vist (Luigi, MD) and TL's own Zoler (Fox, Sweden) could be very interesting. D3: gaR (Sheik, CA) vs Beach (Sheik, MI) should be interesting, though I think gaR's Sheik ditto skill should win out. D5: HDL (CT) and Kizz-kun (Brazil) are both really good Marths, but Citizen Snips (Falcon, NY) and TL's BrTarolg (Sheik, UK) may be able to make some waves. E5: andrewajt62 (ICs, NY) over AbsoluteBlack (ICs/Marth, TX). Pools where the 2 and below seeds are weak: A1: I guess it's Mango's pool, so that makes sense. I guess Eval (Peach, Puerto Rico) and Vortex (Marth, NY) are ok. B15: MikeHaggar (Falcon, Sweden) vs Sol (Fox, NY) should be close, but they're not as good as some of the other 2 seeds. B16: I dunno if Dekar deserves a 1 seed or if Peki deserves a 2 seed, tbh. C5: Laijin is cool and all, but he's a weaker 2 seed. C16: Chain-ace (Falco, NJ), Nightmare (?, CA), and DOOM (Peach, CT)? They're good, but weaker than other pools. D2: Fullmetal (Marth, GA), Machiavelli (Fox, PA), and Wind (Fox, MA)? Eh. E2: Dunno how good Barbado (Falco?, NY) is, but Tichinde (Marth, RI) is more notable for bringing 10 setups to New England tournaments than for how good he is :^) This seems like a really easy pool for S2J. E3: DekuNut (Falco, NJ) is good, and probably second best in this pool, but he's a weaker 2 seed. E6: WarriorKnight (Bowser/Fox, NY) is really good, but is he really stronger than all the 2 seeds? Tubes (Falcon, GA) is most famous for getting JV5'd by PPMD a few years ago, and the rest of the pool isn't much better. E7: ArcNatural (Fox, MA) is really oldschool but doesn't deserve a 2 seed. Still, he'll likely make it out 2nd because the rest of the pool isn't very strong either. F1: Strong Bad (DK, MO) is a 2 seed? Heh. F2: Vex Kasrani (Ganon, PA) is a top Brawl player, but not so well-known in Melee. Kmac and Theftz are both Samus players from NJ who are about my level or a little better (though Theftz also plays other characters), so this pool seems a bit silly. | ||
