Was abit of a derp moment for me, but it was overall pretty good scripting on your part. But yes, blood is very good against thugs/SCs. Note the level 9, irresistable banish to hell/frozen hell spells, and the irresistable AoEs. Blood, in general, is designed to be a standalone school. Blood has a number of drawbacks however, (need to effectively trade gold and upkeep for slaves, and battle use of blood depends on burning large amounts of blood slaves, separate research path, etc.). Still a superb school, despite the nerfs to blood slave generation overall, but, like Astral and Death, are no longer the trinity of essential, endgame schools (standing heads and shoulders over the others in the endgame). Ultralisk, you just need to field an army and field MORE battlemages, Ultralisk. Was watching the battle a few turns ago, and with as much gold, research, and forts you have, fielding some 50 master smiths behind a wall of pikes should not be unreasonable at all. The army you initially sent simply didn't have enough mages in them. Alternately, cast 1-2 Earthquakes and kill the blood virgins. He can't cast blood spells without them. I'm probably going to put together a magic primer for everyone on TL, as there seems to be a growing TL community for the game. That, and update the first post. Soon (tm) :s | ||

I could throw so much more at him, but I also need to keep an eye on you to prevent a throne sneak. And tbh, I don't actually want Ulm to win, just a stalemate. :s | ||

Ah, of course! Sorry, wasn't paying attention -- life has been a bit crazy for the last few days. Also, people I've been corresponding with on skype: sorry to have popped in and out. I was driving a friend around today after a series of mishaps and only had intermittent internet. | ||

Patala is monkeys and nagas. Most people hate monkeys, but if you want to use only the nagas, you miss half the nation, and again it is not recommended for beginners, as monkeys require very good scripting, or they get simply squashed. Ctis simply replaced the humans with same size cold blooded lizards, yay... If you want to play some giants, Utgard might be decent. | ||
