You should be able to do 2 Heroes with mono-red...some people on another forum I go to have had success 0-1 stoning it with an Ares x Freyr setup. You might want some more levels in Shiva though since he'll be a useful sub to kill Highlander. Level up/evolve your Odin and you can eventually do Hera (you'll want Shiva leveled up for that too so you can kill Neptune). If you level up your Spinon all the way to his ultimate evo then you can use him + Hera subs + a Lucifer friend to clear Valkyrie. And try to max skill your Siren.
Also regarding JP 2.0, imo Dark = Green > Blue/Green > Red > Light
They're all pretty good, the twins are very clearly worse than Kirin but 25x is still good. Light is by far the worst of the 5.

As far as where I am in the game (very early/pretty low), should I just roll for whatever godfest appears or should I save and shoot for a particular series of gods? Or is that just a personal choice issue?
Thanks for the ideas! I'll get on that. Have the mats for the Shiva evo already. My first siren is well on the way to max skill and I have a 2nd/3rd ready for leveling immediately after.
What other forum do you frequent? The PAD forum is nice generally, but not nearly as inviting and inclusive as TL.

@Kronen: Personal choice, imo wait for a spike godfest since Horus/Ra/Kirin are your best options for lategame
Your Ares can carry you far and up through some descends + legend difficulties as well as all the normals and all of the techs except the last few, but eventually you'll hit a wall where mono-red won't cut it, and that's where you'll need either Lucifer or a spike team, and Lucifer is boring as shit so play spike, it's more fun lol
@Kouda: I'd add you but I don't run Valk or mono-dark or Seiryuu lol, I think we'd end up being dead weight on each other's lists since I only use Kirin/Hera-Ur/Athena

I have been playing Puzzle and Dragon for a couple of weeks. When I began I had never heard of rerolling so my best monster is a Duke Vampire Lord and Enchantress of the Sea, Siren.
To far in to rerolling now, but are kinda stuck at the moment, been leveling my monsters and farming naga.
I am now waiting for PAD to be released on android in Europe so I can reroll there

@Ramong, hope they get that up and running soon. My brother re-rolled on his android and it's super super easy with Titanium. Much nicer than being tied to a computer.
Any stories or accomplishments on this big leveling up/farming week thus far?
For myself, I've maxed skilled my gigas and one siren with another mergirl at 3rd level skill. During the siren leveling, I lost 3 full rows of gobos without a level up... oh my goodness was that rage inducing.... Looking forward to maybe getting a naga skill-up or two tomorrow if the stars align.
@MegaMan I'm well on the way to do what you described in that post. My Shiva and GOdin are evolved and leveling up... I'll keep you posted. Hoping for some good luck on Two Heroes day... The last day of the red dragon I was able to resolve/resist and grab a copy of that wyrm! Don't need to level my lil red one now :-)

Two rolls on my red acct got an Izanagi and a trollmaid... Currently in hour 3 of re-rolling in hopes of starting a Kushi acct... I'll let you know if luck hits.
EDIT: Two more accidental rolls yielded another GOdin and a trolltops.
I rolled for +six hours today and didn't see a Kushi, Okuni, or Umi&Yama. Prolly going to let this game rest until the next Chinese godfest and see if I can't roll a good burst starting hero. I kinda feel like if you don't get that initial hero that can take you through descends there's no point in farming an alt team and waiting for a better leader to drop. My red team will clear tier 5, but never take descends. I'd be farming heras to supplement whatever other leader comes along and I'm just tired putting effort into what will ultimately be dead weight.... That and I'm pretty frustrated with REM pulls in general. I saved up for 6 pulls on my Byakko for the start of the batman event (hoping for some subs for low levels) and pulled four robins in a row, throwing the last two into the black even going on at the time and getting trolled there too.... See you guys in a couple weeks potentially.

Well, started playing this game yesterday. Saw it quite some time ago but never really bothered. But since Yellow thinks this is interesting, I thought I'm gonna give it a go. Best about it...it has no unnecessary permissions.
So, yeah. If anyone wanna help a newbie, I'm happy to accept any form of tips. Rolled an Izanagi from the rare egg machine.
Two questions: Can another player only use your helper when he isn't in a battle and you are online? Regarding friends in the game, do their helpers give more pal points per dungeon run, or is there any other advantage?

The helper system is actually pretty nifty! No, the helper doesn't need to be online nor do you need to stay logged in or have the app open to have people use your leader. When you use your friend's hero, the run gives them as many points as it gives you for using it (the first time) so it's completely a win-win scenario. Friends do give more points than non friends, so building a healthy and helpful friends list is important. More important than the point gain is the leader bonus, something absolutely imperative at the higher levels. This is where the friend mechanic really shines as having a good friends list is something that will help you immensely later in the game. Regarding the friends list, keep an eye on how often your friends are playing though (by clicking the "played" sorting option). If a friend hasn't played in more that 5 days I'd suggest tossing them off as they aren't helping you by using your hero in the dungeons.
Iza is a pretty good starting roll so that's a good start. As far as tips, just practicing your matching and enjoying the game for starters is important :-). Try to get at least 3-4 a turn regardless of what you're doing.
It's very easy when just starting out to spend too much money leveling up characters superfluously. If you find yourself running low on money because of that, don't worry about ti though because you'll very easily be able to get money. For leveling up monsters, yourself, and the skills on your monsters, I strongly suggest this guide from the PAD forums. As you play you may come across some rarer monsters and wonder whether they should be kept. This post on monsters beginners should try to acquire is very helpful in that regard and will help round out your early teams.
Starting with Iza gives you late game options, but you can also go mono white. For the first couple days of playing I'd suggest saving your stones (do NOT spend stones outside of a godfest or on stamina until much much later) and seeing what the next godfest may or may not bring you. Iza works with a full god team and that means high team value, something you might not have for a while. For now I wouldn't fret at it, and just keep saving those stones and enjoying the game. With well spent stamina you could very well play non-stop up until level 50, particularly on the weekend.

Can't use Izanagi right now anyway, since the cost is too high. So he is just sitting in my monster bank, doing nothing.
Hm, I kinda wanted to go all fire or something similar. Started with the fire dragon and got a Titan in the pal machine. So both of them work really well together. Now I just need some other useful fire types. The healer is probably a good one and hm. The problem is, I would need more damage then unless it's only 4 orbs like in the weekend dungeon.
Had already spent 5 magic stones when you wrote that. Only got one of the Mystic Knights...

With your team I'd says play it and have fun until the next godfest which will hopefully be a China/Greco. Roll as much as you can in that fest and see what you get, hopefully fulfilling your red or god heavy tendencies.
Titan in the pal machine is a great roll! I spent 2 days doing a low level dungeon for that toon. Very nice! Mono red will take you far, but won't take you end game. It's a great way to farm materials and is relatively easy to get a full squad.
Let's see what the next godfest brings you after you get all the juicy low level dungeon stones :D. If you're not happy with your team at that point, I'd suggest RR'ing to a leader that you feel happy with. China/Greco is a super friendly starting godfest. Basically China/anything is good  (except for archdemons and they passed already thank goodness).

Man, stupid game gives me terrible partners. They are always lower ranks and have just bad monsters. Can't even do proper dungeons with these things.
Didn't die at all in the beginning, now I'm doing it often enough...
/edit: Changed the team up a bit with my god in it and it works pretty well. Just had a partner god and man, it just seems OP.

Yeah Izanagi unfortunately right now is not a fantastic leader, in Japan he got a buff recently so his 3.5x ATK works for 80% hp and higher rather than only at full HP
Plus he's not ideal for a new player because you need a full team of gods to really make use of him and he's light type, which is the hardest to level
I agree that you should just play and see how you like the game, then spend all your stones in the next godfest and if you get nothing good then reroll during it for a better leader

Welp, just obliterated the Flame Snake Woman dungeon bosses with about 100k damage on each of them. Got some water god helper and it was really sick that roll at the end. So Izanagi works fine in that regard if you get somewhat lucky.

Damn, the Batman Collab is pretty hard. I have to get really really lucky with a Kirin combo (7 combo or higher, 2 sets of light orbs) just to do Master.
edit: nevermind just gonna use Dark/Dark Hades double leader to do it, can't believe I didn't think of this before lol

I beat Joker on master using Goemon + 4 light subs
Killing Joke put me in range for the 25x and I one shot him
Requires a little luck on him not jamming your light orbs at the start though
