That is not the day 1 patch according to a CDPR employee because there isn't one out yet. The likelier explanation is disk 1 being installed.

There's a day one patch for the damn game. They're not fooling anyone. There's so much stuff they're still working on. If there isn't a day one patch, I'll buy everyone here a copy of the game.

They're not denying there will be a day 1 patch, it's that the 56 GB download that's being thrown around as a day 1 patch isn't it.

It states "not yet" which mean they still have 5-6 days to make that Day1 patch ready.
And 56 GB is meh. Call of Duty does this kinda weekly

Yes there will be a day 1 patch, and yes they are still working on it. The whole point of a day 1 patch is that you can work on it until right up to release so it being ready and deployed a week before release makes no sense.

I'm not saying there won't be. I know there will be. And them saying "not yet" is just misleading at best since people will take it to mean there isn't one, when we know there will be.

I agree that they will work on this all the way up until release day and then the night before, detail the size of the patch and what is in the patch. I'm pretty sure it's mostly cosmetic and probably the photo mode they teased the other day.

GOG is owned by CDPR so people are downloading there to support them. I'm just curious to what people are doing for this game. I doubt there's any difference between Steam or GOG versions.

Oh yeah sure, that's a great reason. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something messed up about the Steam/PC release or something lol. I haven't been following super closely.

Gog also does much better deal for games that aren't developped by CDPR afaik. If I have an option to buy a game on gog i'd get it from there assuming no physical etc. Also it's no DRM, the launcher is optional, if you're out of internet or the platform one day goes down or whatever you won't need to hack your files to play your games you can always just launch them from your computer just like it should be^^ I haven't tried but this may mean that if you have a game from gog and you copy it to your other computers you can play lan games at home just like we used to with older games.
