Sucks that the really great guys don't really do the dunk contents because they want to save face and play it safe or w/e.

I think it's not the same amount of dunks, I think it's just that with youtube and stuff all that shit is accessible, so you can easily see the top 10 dunks ever (and they were even showing them on ESPN) so with that as a barometer anything less than that seems mundane. I still contend that Javale Mcgee the year Blake won put up some of the more amazing underrated dunks (3 at once, etc.) of the dunk contest; I'd love for him to do it again, especially while he's still young and hasn't lost that bounciness like White has.

However, have you guys ever seen air up there' 720 dunk and all of his dunks? Also 5 ft 9 tdub and prime james white? I consider them the top three dunkers and vince 4th instead of "best dunker of all time" Well, carter has the "style". James white dunks never looked pretty to me and yes what these and1 and TFB guys are doing is incredible, but none of them have the incredible style carter had.

edit: ya Green and White on the wrong side of their 20s now for this stuff. Crazy to think what a few years makes really. Also somewhat puts into perspective why athletes have to make so much money at an early age, when their talents are at their prime, and to make the health-risks that come later on worth it (in general).

Speaking of old age, Michael Jordan was my favorite player growing up in elementary and high school. He's 50 now.
