Werster also has a tendency to talk "trash" about someone while he's speedrunning a game, but when he talks about that same person at other times he usually has mad respect for that person. His trash talk is kinda like the trash talk you throw at friends completely not serious and all in fun for the most part. Gunner is just coming off as a kinda immature brat at this point. Talks a ton of shit proceeds to have his record destroyed by an insane run by werster now he doesn't want to stream unless hes gets a huge donation? What the hell is with that? Its not a donation if you demand that it happens. Theres a reason people like Werster, Cosmo and hell even Spike got a decent amount of money during his no cutscene skip% run of KH2 the other day and the reason they do it because they stream a lot they're generally entertaining and are likable for the most part and people want to have them be able to keep doing what theyre doing.

I just improved the Raze SS run by like 4 and a half minutes from 36:30 to 31:55. Was a sick run. I actually beat one of the individual mission records for one of the most RNG intensive missions too. :D Now to get to sub 30.

Where did you see the demand for a huge donation by the way? I checked around and all I could see was a tweet from someone else on his account saying no streams for a while. Then a followup declining to specify why and insisting that everything was fine. Made it sound like something personal happened.

It's mostly about optimization so that you don't have to revisit anywhere any more than necessary and also lag reduction. You spend a decent amount of time looking straight down so that the rail cart goes faster.

i love the random things that just happen on his stream.
like just then, a plate breaks in the background. after a period of smiling from werster, 2 minutes later, the stream goes offline.

He missed the coolest part which is that you have to take the worst photos possible as better photos take longer to score, which to me makes the whole idea of the character presenting these terrible photos to Oak more hilarious.

It reminds me of the end of the Harvest Moon run where the mayor looks out at your terrible farm and the player-character is standing there as if to say "it is what it is".

Speedrunning shouldn't be about world records in my opinion. If anyone quits running yellow because of the insane record that's a bit silly.
