There is an end-game, but Heavensward has kinda lacked it. I do recommend you resubbing every so often to check out the new patches. I think you'll find more than your 13 bucks worth after a couple patches. | ||

Ah. its on sale for 20 dollars: https://store.na.square-enix.com/product/282255/final-fantasy-xiv-heavensward-pc-download but thats probably like a 33 dollar deal. I think its worth, especially if you resub on Feb 23rd, when the new patch hits. | ||

I just spent $20 of my $56 in my account (until Monday) on this goddamned thing. | ||

Also some people said Yoshi-P himself apparently confirmed at FanFest that she's a Monk. She's not a Dancer. Just 2 monks sparring. shhiieeettttttttt | ||

I was SO SURE dancer was going to be the new job given the start of the trailer, but I couldnt be more happy that we're getting Red Mage. Discerning observation certainly shows that both of the combatants were deliberately designed to have differing, but similar, combat styles. I'm on the opinion that she is a Dancer. Her movements are much more fluid than the Monks, and at one point during the trailer fight she looks as though she is using the ribbons on her clothing as weapons. She also favors the use of her legs more than the Monk does, who seems to favor the more traditional upper-body attacks of the Monk. Her clothing is also far more elegant and graceful than the Monks, which seems to speak once again of a deliberate design difference. It's still all just speculation, but I certainly think the Dancer idea has its own merit. | ||

For those who haven't seen it. I like it. The trailer gives me the impression that the expansion focuses more on worldbuilding and everyday life, as opposed to universe-ending epic threats. | ||
