10 am the queues started.. i was like 780th in line, but i needed to leave at 10:30 and left the queue at position 200. Pain...
I come back, I suffer through 3600 person queue for 1 and a half hours just to log in... I pick up reaper job, do a /cpose and /vpose and Cerberus crashes... Pain
Back to a 3300 person queue but it seems login servers melted... pain
I wish I could say that I didn't expect this, but it's going EXACTLY like I thought it would. Early Access = unplayable
And this is on a Friday morning/noon... when people get back from work and the weekend starts I assume the server room will go NUCLEAR and we'll get a radiation blob on the world map much like Chernobyl in 1986...

I got in at 1045-ish. 60 player queue. Left, became ManBun, and then queued again. Instant.

Feels like the queues right now and overal health of the servers:
EU
10k+ queues, the login servers keeps crashing, totally unplayable right now.
NA
10k~ queues the login servers doesn't crash so you have a chance of actually getting in.
Japan /JP
sub 10k queues , actually servers that are totally fine and you can even use the feature that lets you play on another world.

I've gotten in...4 times since launch? (had to work so couldn't really give it a good run through). This last time there was crashing in queue (error 2002). Waiting for AMD to release updated drivers as the audio is intermittent (combat sfx) and the window won't stay fullscreen.
Other than that, haven't experience any game breaking bugs or issues that caused me to ragequit. Admittedly, I haven't gotten very far (lvl 74 reaper)

Really glad I got my TEA clear before this launch lol.
Launch day I was able to get in easy, barely noticeable. But after 4pm it was fairly long and the 2002 errors making it worse. Yesterday I got home at 3pm est and it was only 2.7k so I waited like an hour while watching the login screen so I could instantly log back in if I got booted to save my place in line. It worked and I got to play a bit. Hoping I can get some time in today because I get home later on Monday so I already wrote that off.

This is the only MMO where nobody talks in chat, it's bizarre. Last experience with such a thing was in Warhammer Online.

I have zone/say chat filtered out atm to avoid people who may shout out spoilers. There was a decent amount of chat in my instances as people are kinda excited to make remarks about things with people who are at least at the same point in the story.

It's called etiquette lol. I've talked to a few people but mostly where aether currents are. Other than that, no one has really said anything spoilery. Almost as if they're engrossed by the story.

I personally see it as:
A lot of people are engrossed in the story and have no time to chat. Endwalker goes HARD almost from the get-go.
If you expect barrens chat or something like that in main zone chat, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Even in hubs like Limsa, very few people chat in the zone chat. It's usually /say which only shows up when you're "within earshot" of the person talking. Otherwise, people keep to whispers, group and first and formost - guild chat.
The only time I saw people actually shout in zone chat is for A-rank trains and help with FATEs that give either an achievement or a minion.
Not to mention the veritable horde of snowflakes that gets triggered by just about anything you post in chat. In my FC chat someone asked for a picture of lv90 gear to see the stat gain from 80 to 90 and another person linked a lv 90 chestpiece of gosh-my-dick-is-long-unicorn and people were crying spoilers.

A couple of people where doing zone chat to organize picking up people to take to all the Aether currents.

It's just bizarre reminds me of Warhammer Online, nobody spoke at all in chat. I mean there is no Trade chat, or shooting the shit etc. Not even LFG's.
I also learned there is a Samurai Class in this game, too bad I already picked Arcanist

You can only unlock samurai once you are level 50, and it starts at level 50 right away.. So you aren't losing anything by starting as arcanist.

I dont think you understand... you play 1 character, but have the freedom to pick EVERY job on him/her, if you'd like to. There's even a special mount for getting all combat jobs to 80 on a single character...

Finished the MSQ this morning. Ready to try the EX trials soon. That last area had me almost mad the way it was going. But it ended pretty damn good.

The EX's are pretty fun. Done farming out the 1st one, just need to get my weapons from 2nd.

It's savage all over again -_-; I never beat E12S so I never got my Edenmorn weapon. But I think I can get through these trials without much fuss. 2nd one looks to be mechanic intensive but easy on DPS/Heals check. I watched a vid so I'm pretty confident in clearing in 5 tries max.

Funny about E12S. I never did it because I was doing TEA but I watched a vid and it looked more annoying to do then what I was doing lol.
Both these trials are fairly low in difficulty for extremes imo. When I cleared 2 we had a dps doing less damage then the tanks. You will be fine~

The EX fights are very lenient in the DPS requirements. Enrage is 11 minutes for both and you rarely get to see it if something does not go massively wrong ^^
