The two ideas are that any team can win, and some teams seem unbeatable (except against exceptionally good teams which have a chance), even when things don't go their way.

Jerebko and Monroe are the only real upside right now. Knight is ok but he's got a long way to go, especially with handling and distributing. I don't see how this team possibly becomes good within the next few years without a miraculous draft pick. Stuckey/Tayshaun/Gordon/Cancer is just too much of a burden. I would trade Charlie V for Garnett's gimpy right leg.

It's one thing to be a bad team like Washington or Sacramento, with young talent who don't know what to do yet, but we're the worst veteran team by far. And it'll stay that way for at least 2 or 3 years. Jerebko and Monroe are the only real upside right now. Knight is ok but he's got a long way to go, especially with handling and distributing. I think you are forgetting about the Nets, they just traded away all their assets for a liability, which did nothing to alter your position in the standings. The pistons have Munroe, Daye, Jerebko, Knight all on rookie contracts with only two bad contracts in Gordon and Villanueva (Prince and Stuckey perform their jobs for the team), the Nets have Marshon Brooks, and a bunch of nobodies. Add that to the Morrow, Outlaw, Humphries, Farmar contracts and you have a team that is not nearly as structurally sound as the pistons. This is of course, without pointing out that the Pistons have a defensive development coach, and the Nets have Avery Johnson. So relax, as bad as the Gordon and Villanueva contracts have been, there is actually a much worse team out there, and in two more years we will be able to use these guys as trading chips to a contender to possibly get some more assets. Also Washington is bad, not because they have young talent, but because their environment is shitty, and its going to stall the development of their good players. Wall, Blatche, and McGee are all dumb as shit, and suck at decision making. Nick Young is a black hole, and Rashard Lewis is the second highest paid player in the league. Detroit is definitely in a better position than Washington in the near future.

Instead I settled with a McBron, a new thing at my local McDonalds. Turns out I ended up choking at the end of it. Dwight Howard needs to do some of this to LeBron. January 10th is national LeChoke day, everyone gets out 12min early! Best athelete combo: 3/4 LeBron, 1/4 Tebow. I heard LeBron had a custom made Lamborghini Gallardo with full automatic transmission. Guess he can't handle clutch. Why isn't LeBron allowed near children? Too much of a choke hazard. OH GOD THE JOKES ARE ENDLESS

Blatche, Lewis and McGee. Those are like the worst players to have on a team that's trying to rebuild and develop some talent. Actually Blatche would probably be detrimental to just about any team. It's like havin three demarcous cousins' without the skill and bigger contracts. I mean blatche is signed until 2015 for 7mio a year and I don't see anyone takin him before that.

OH GOD THE JOKES ARE ENDLESS You missed the relevant window, it's 2012 not 2010, now it's just obnoxious. The Pistons are closer to becoming the Pacers than the Nets, but the Nets are closer to being Miami/Boston/LA/Knicks. A few terrible contracts and mediocre players isn't a good place to be.
