I mean, leaving aside the legacies of Vince Carter, MJ and Dominique, does anybody remember J-Rich? Desmond Mason? Josh Smith? Those guys were among the best and did it by simply doing amazing dunks. I hope the NBA realizes how pathetic the last few contests were. But I guess the economical interests come first. Oh poor NBA... All-Star Saturday Night is all about the 3 point contest now. Too bad...

Paul George had the best 3 combined. The 360 windmill in the dark was pretty sweet actually http://www.nba.com/pacers/video/2012/02/25/pgdunk2MOV-2015843/index.html And he jumped over a 7'2" guy. If his last dunk went in on the first try I think he would have won for sure, but when leaving it up to the fans you never know. Still should have won.

It's about the lame showmanship and the gimmicky effects they can think of. Superman and KriptoNate? Flousrescent tape? Cameras on the forehead? What about the dunks? .. it's fun for those guys though, like Kenny Smith said it's sort of a coming-out party for them - but I'd rather see the stars of the league dunking.

Sat was a bit of a snorefest, was hoping for better from the 3 shootout aswell.
