brother towers!! they can't, they don't have the cap space to sign him outright. ? what, rockets cleared up around 4 million with this trade they have 12 million in cap room could go even higher if they amnesty someone they have 7M after the trade. go check the trade checker thing on the previous page. this is taking into account that the cap will be 58M this season. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7clbbzxwho are they going to amnesty? kyle lowry? anything below 12M the grizz are going to say lol thanks and match.
ok, i did some research, and it turns out houston has 11Mish after the trade. amnesty thabeet and they can get up to 17M.
grizz are going to think long and hard about matching 17M...

17 mill for Marc Gasol is just... Lol. How many years would they have to give him too?
He had a decent finish to last season but I pity the team who signs him up for that much.
Rashard Lewis 2.0.

Can't believe you guys are so obsessed with CP3 joining the Lakers when there's much bigger news.
The Pistons resigned Tayshaun for 4yr/27m.

i'd imagine it'd be 4 years (as per the new CBA), but i dunno.
yeah, 17M is way too much for any FA this year.

I haven't seen any news on Houston making a bid at Marc Gasol.

neither have i, but a poster earlier back claimed he/she did.

Houston is fighting to try to get Nene, not Gasol

CP3 to LA on hold right now according to Hollinger and Stein.

Ok quick breakdown. The NO Hornets are owned by the NBA. They are technically "owned" by the other 29 teams in the league. The other NBA GMs are pushing for the NO General Manager to STOP THE CHRIS PAUL TO LA TRADE! It's getting real out there!

The Chris Paul to LA DEAL HAS BEEN NIXED!

good shit NBA, some teams are dumb as hell

Dude, I know! My Bucks signed Mike Dunleavy Jnr today for $7.5mill!

Oh God NBA. New Orleans is not going to get a better deal than this. If the NBA is prepared to literally TANK the Hornets for picks then that's a fucking sham.
|
holy shit CP3 on Lakers? Well i know who im rooting for..
the heat
nvm. but still heat
|
Can't blame David Stern for this one.
|
How can anyone root for the heat? =O that's just ridiculous

NBA owners have pushed commissioner David Stern to kill the deal sending Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell Y! Sports.
|
Why wouldn't you root for the Heat? They're great players (except Bosh), they play hard, they're exciting, and they're the natural evolution of the NBA salary cap and everyone comparing players to Jordan's rings.
And evidently superteams are only bad if players make them, not owners.
|
Lol. They lock out their labor, bitch and moan about competitive balance and on the 3rd trade of the season, a trade has to be stopped - for competitive balance purposes. I HIGHLY doubt the owners are doing this for the sake of the Hornets. They're just trying to screw the Lakers out of a net positive trade.
