I know that the US is hands down console FPS's and I have a feeling that a lot of European countries are similar, but I also think I could be totally wrong! Let me know =)

I used to be one of those guys. CoD, Killzone, Battlefield, Resistance, Halo, Gears. The only ones with any competitive value are Halo and Gears, and I still have a soft spot in my heart for Halo because it was my first eSport. I think Quake Live is popular in Eastern Europe, but maybe its just the best players that come from there. I'm really fascinated with the thread idea though.

Cod style fps probably most played (Haven't heard of 1.6 players. Very few CS:S) but LoL is played alot too. Nowadays it's not so easy to find wow players like it was 1-3 years ago. Starcraft 2 is something finnish people seem to suck at. I know 11 IRL and one of them is platinium, others silver/bronze. Most of them quit already claiming that the game is not easy enough. Over 14year old console gamers pretty rare. That's how I feel atleast.

There are just "a lot" of strong players from there, yeah.
