Last night I was playing against a team that lagged like crazy and I had no lag or rubberbanding. Before that, I had massive rubberbanding and the other team had none. Sometimes it's bad for some people and fine for others and it's of course independent of who's team you're on or the timezone or anything about a geographical location. We've had people living 30 minutes away with half our ping.

Having no U.S. Central servers really sucks when grouping with friends on the other side of the continent. :|

This is ridiculous, I mean me and a friend have had some ping/choke problems the past few days in europe but nothing like that rubberbanding...

I played a guy who had 5 ping throughout the whole game yesterday. I was so jealous.

Shahzam, dazed, and Summit streamed some kind of like, informal discussion where Summit was asking them what happened. The conclusion they reached was that IBP was overvalued on CS:GO Lounge, they were just back from LAN, dazed said they were tired and no one was taking the game seriously since they were already through to the playoffs. Shahzam apparently just predicted that would happen and told his friend to bet Netcodeguides. Summit said Shahzam's conversation was a bit sketchy, but that he's the kind of guy who would pose it as more dramatic than it actually was, and besides he has no connection to either team. Dazed also said that Shahzam's propensity for stirring up drama meant he was the last person he (dazed) would ever speak secretly to about match-fixing.

Precisely my impression of him, no reason to doubt that.

This is why I only bet on major tournaments....guaranteed that every team plays their hardest.

lol i hate those games. i don't bet on them but i do watch them from time to time. absolutely ridiculous that the pauses between rounds add up to longer than the actual game itself.

I'm not saying this scandal is for real or not but there is a connection. NCG is the company/site that Dazed co-owns with Caseyfoster. Shazam helps with the site in terms of content. Dazed not telling shazam first hand doesn't prove much because he could have been informed by another person that may haven known (like caseyfoster or whoever).

Eh, Richard Lewis doesn't prove anything.
Anyway, is the lag problem only in the US? I haven't had any problems here in Europe. Steady 40 ping.

I think I've got the ping hanging around 5 for most of the matchmaking. Finnish uni student internet is quite speedy outside the busy hours at least. I don't think it particularly helps with the hitreg, but kill confirmations and such are almost instant.

Nuke, 11-4, guy on other team constantly talking shit, etc. We manage a small comeback, 14-11 but oh shit 2-1 situation for them, guy who was talking shit proceeds to teamkill and loses the 1-1. Gets kicked and we tie 15-15.

Shoutouts to Durak for accidentally teamkilling in spawn using the zeus and thanks for helping me finishing that insertion mission.
